The biggest was in Namitinan (now in Sitio in Brgy. Canarem) which was of Ilocano settlers who decided to live close to Canarum Lake. The Kapampangan had gone as far as Baculong and Maluid. Like the Ilocano, they too were in search of land to till. There was one other community in Palacpalac. The barrio was named after a tree which sap is utilized to make houses shiny.
