English: Waymarker, Ann Griffiths Walk, Pont Llogel "This is the start of the Ann Griffiths Walk, which will take you over hilltops, along watermeadows and through wooded valleys, populated with native trees such as Oak, Ash, Hazel and Birch.
This series of signs was erected to commemorate 200 years since the death of Ann Griffiths (1776-1805), who was Wales' foremost hymn writer, and whose hymns are sung in chapels throughout Wales to this day. This 7 mile walk, through some of the most beautiful countryside in Mid Wales, follows many paths that Ann Griffiths would have walked, and may well have inspired her work." |
