White dragon (wyvern) flag

Summary[edit]

Description
English: White dragon (wyvern) flag derived from the Flag of Wessex with golden wyvern. This dragon (or wyvern) follows the scene of Harold Godwinson's death scene in the original 1066 Bayeux tapestry. In Historia Brittonum, two dragons appear. The red dragon symbolised the Welsh while a white dragon symbolised the Anglo-Saxons.
