Polski: Wieża Bismarcka w Okonku niem. Ratzebuhr in Pommern (obecna nazwa Wieża Tecława) - stoi na Górze Tecława. Budowę tej 24 metrowej wieży zainicjowało Zrzeszenie Użyteczności Publicznej w Okonku pod przewodnictwem Naczelnika Poczty Ernsta Nitschke ze Szczecinka. Głównym wykonawcą prac budowlanych była firma Steltera z Okonka. Na miejsce budowy wieży wybrano, leżące na północ od miasta, Wzgórze Tecława (191 m.n.p.m.).
Kamień węgielny pod budowę położono 01.04.1908r. Koszt budowy wyniósł 12.000 marek, a całą inwestycję sfinansowano z dobrowolnych datków, loterii oraz reklamy. Za materiał budowlany posłużyła cegła i beton (wiązanie krzyżowe) oraz kamienie granitowe (mur cyklopowy). Drewnianymi schodami (86 stopni) można było wejść na platformę widokową. Na wieży przymocowano płaskorzeźbę Bismarcka z brązu, wykonaną w odlewni w Mannheim. Okna herbowe oprawiono kolorowym szkłem. Przed wieżą postawiono 4 metrowy pomnik obelisk z orłem ku czci poległych. W uroczystościach poświęcenia wieży w dniu 23.08.1908r. udział wzięły liczne Związki i mieszkańcy Okonka, równocześnie odbyło się uroczyste odsłonięcie pomnika oraz nadanie "Orderu Orła" 4 klasy burmistrzowi Semmowi. Wieczorem na wieży dokonano inauguracyjnego rozpalenia "ognia ku czci Bismarcka". |
