English: Konkani as a language has seen the geographical, political and religious conflicts. Being the official language of Goa and spoken widely in the Indian states of Karnataka and Kerala it is still trying to strengthen its base. Recently the CIS-A2K team in collaboration with Goa University organized a four-day Konkani Wikipedia workshop for the MA Part 2, Konkani language study students. This workshop involved 38 students creating 42 articles on Konkani Wikipedia which is incubation. Now the Konkani community is gradually forming to bring this 7 year old project out of incubation to a live Wikipedia project. Konkani Wikipedian Rusita Paryekar speaks about her first meeting with Konkani Wikipedia and her experience as a contributor.
