中文（香港）：據彭氏族譜記載，彭氏先祖彭雲因逃避安史之亂，遷居至江西宜春。北宋末年，時任潮州知事的彭延年於告老歸田時，率家人再遷到潮州，其後人輾轉南下東莞定居。及至南宋光宗年間，彭氏族人彭桂與兒子彭迪然為免戰亂影響生計，舉家南遷至新界粉嶺一帶，是為本港粉嶺彭氏的開村之祖。彭氏起初居於粉嶺龍躍頭一帶，不久又遷居於粉嶺樓附近，並迅速發展，其後於明朝萬曆年間徙至粉嶺壁村一帶，並立圍定居。
彭氏與「粉嶺」來歷 由於彭氏很早已定居粉嶺，所以粉嶺這地名也跟他們大有關係。原來彭氏鄉民在明代掘山建村時，發現山上有一石壁，泥土顏色雪白，有如粉狀，於是當地居民便叫這座山為「粉壁嶺」，而位於附近的村落也因此而命名為粉壁嶺村。久而久之，人們將粉壁嶺簡稱為粉嶺，粉嶺這名字便應運而生。大家可能會問，那座大山至今天還存在嗎？原來這座山今天已改名為「靈山」，位於粉嶺龍躍頭附近，因為鄉民相傳該山有靈異，常於天旱時帶備祭品，到山上的石壁前祈雨，該山也因此而得名。 宗祠建於道光二十六年 彭氏於明萬曆年間遷居粉嶺村後曾興建了一所祠堂。到了清朝道光年間，宗祠日久失修，樑垣頹壞，加上風水問題，族人乃募捐經費重建宗祠，並禮聘風水先生於道光二十六年擇吉移建現址，這就是今日所見的彭氏宗祠。這座有百多年歷史的祠堂，屬典型的兩進式建築，內有兩個大廳、數個廂房和一個庭園。大門左右懸有楹聯：「商賢世澤，宋史家聲。」對聯中的商賢，是說明彭氏一族的源流可追溯到商代；宋史所指的則是宋代時先人南下開村的事蹟。祠堂分別在一八八四年及一九七九年重修，宗祠內的部分地方也曾闢作幼稚園的校舍，為村中子弟提供學前教育。 http://20600904.blog.163.com/blog/static/11775041220091128102257241/ |
