Albanian CoA Color space[edit]

I would like to have your opinion about the red color of Albanian CoA. Act 8926 appendix 1 and 4 talk about red color. It must be C=0 M=100 Y=100 K=0 that is a printer red color and in not equal to RGB 255 0 0 color that our screen use. I printed out C=0 M=100 Y=100 K=0 and i tried to calibrate to my rgb screen. it gave me RGB 235 30 35. what do you think to use this? Ilbiochimico (talk) 09:40, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I ran the CMYK into Inkscape and it gives me 255-0-0 when it was converted back to RGB. When I ran the CMYK through Corel Draw, it gave me ED3237 when it is placed in hexadecimal. If you put that color back into Inkscape, it gives me CMYK of 0-79-77-7. But, if you want a similar case, Canada also has their flag be in CMYK 0-100-100-0 and that flag image currently on Wikipedia is #ff0000. So it is not a screen issue but a program issue, but as I have seen before with other flags, if we go with the CMYK colors it will almost look like we will get the RGB effect of pure red no matter what. i'm from Albania and i have a lot of flags here..fore sure red RGB 255 0 0 is not the same red color of the flag..you cannot simply convert CMYK to RGB coz CMYK and RGB are not the same and use very different technology. you have a look here[1] for more info .In Inkscape for example you have to use a colors profile to show on the screen the real printer colors. I use iso 12647-2:2004 [2] color profile and it give me RGB 228 32 30 for correct display CMYK 0 100 100 0 red color that is the same how printers print out CMYK 0 100 100 0. I have a flag from Albania (bought in 2004 in Tirana by my father) and it is indeed a darker shade of red. I am not sure why Inkscape would just convert CMYK to RGB (how to stop it, I will figure it out). But I think what you suggested for 228-32-30 for Red works for me. Albania State Emblem[edit]

We albanians don't like these constant changes of the eagle so i hope they will not last forever... I think the goverment may be also clearly mistaken about the flag and the emblem version when it was uploaded in the pdf document, Ilbiochimico as you refer to the law should the emblem of Albania look like this http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Ligji_8926_22.07.2002.pdf&page=11 ? New reuploads are blocked[edit]

I restricted new uploads to admins only, since there seem to be way too many changes to this file. If there are different opinions on the emblem than use different file names and let the wikipedias decide. Re-worked shapes[edit]

{{Edit request}} Hi everyone. Can any of admins allow one more re-upload of this file. The shapes on the bottom are not geometrically right from left to right. I mean, the red and gold boards of the shields on the background are not too good.

Needed corrections[edit]

{{Edit request}} @Jarekt: Two issues with the coat of arms. The color of the border and helmet should be in golden yellow (100% contrast) as explained in the constitution (see article:Coat of arms of Albania), however here is shown in an almost olive-like hue. The border of the coat of arms also needs to be adjusted in a thinner form as shown in the pdf source. The coat of arms with the thinner border is also shown on Fletorja Zyrtare example which happens to be the document source of the Official Publication Center (qbz.gov.al).
