This image is misleading. These are the stages of analog-to-digital conversion and then digital-to-analog conversion:
- Analog signal
- Sampling
- Quantizing
- Digital signal (string of numbers)
- Zero-order hold
- Filtering
- Analog signal
What you want to show is 1 and 4, but you've shown 1 in gray and 5 in red. A "stem" plot or scattergram would be better for the digital signal. — Omegatron 20:07, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
