I question the correctness of the picture. When I make some measurements in the picture, I find that the ellipse represesenting Sedna's orbit has a/b = 3 (roughly). Via the formula e = sqrt(1-(b/a)2), this gives an eccentricity of 0.94 or so, which is greater than 0.855, the eccentricity reported in the article on Sedna. This affects the shape of the ellipse pretty much.
