Lossy!

The level of -4dB is too loud for casual listening by curious readers. Playing it will surprise them with too much sound pressure level compared to listening to music.

Whatever this file was before it became Vogg Orbis lossy, now that is ogg, it is NOT white noise. Above about 17kHz, the level drops dramatically by about 24dB, when white noise should stay 'flat' all the way up the frequency range. Binksternet (talk) 12:53, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I fixed it myself, creating a much lower level noise file in mono (for smaller file size) and using a higher bit rate. Binksternet (talk) 22:48, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
