English: The 307th ESB's distinctive unit insignia was approved on 29 February 1972. Orange and white are the colors used for the Signal Corps. The grape leaf refers to service in the Rhineland during World War II, and the oriental dragon refers to service in Vietnam. The rayonne simulates an active electrical field. With the lightning flashes, it symbolizes the speed of communications, The flashes are pictured in red to represent the unit's Meritorious Unit Commendation Award. Below the shield, a silver scroll inscribed "OPTIME MERENTI" in orange letters translates as "Providing the Best." |
