Esperanto: La Chaux-de-Fonds estas la plej granda urbo de la svisa Kantono Neŭŝatelo kaj ĉefurbo de la samnoma distrikto. En 2009 la urbo estis kune kun Le Locle nomita kiel kulturheredaĵo de UNESKO. La urbo povas esti konsiderata kiel Esperanto-ĉefurbo de Svislando. Ĝi estas la sidejo de diversaj gravaj Esperanto-institucioj kun nacia kaj internacia signifo kaj renomo kiel CDELI, Kultura Centro Esperantista kaj Svisa Esperanto-Societo.
