English: Marie-Anne Pierette Paulze (January 20, 1758 – February 10, 1836), more commonly known as Madame Lavoisier the "mother of modern chemistry", was born in the town of Montbrison, located in a small province in France. She is most commonly known as the wife of Antoine Lavoisier, but many do not know of her accomplishments in the realm of chemistry.
