markblocked

{{Edit request}} Please add a "markblocked[ResourceLoader|dependencies=mediawiki.util,mediawiki.page.startup]|markblocked.js" line and do whatever else is necessary to allow use of the markblocked gadget here. It would also be great if globally blocked and locked users could be marked. @TheDJ: FYI.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 10:59, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

Where is the code? MediaWiki:Gadget-markblocked.js is empty. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 19:31, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
@Tacsipacsi: The version I have used is at ru:MediaWiki:Gadget-markblocked.js and there appears to be a copy at en:MediaWiki:Gadget-markblocked.js.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 00:20, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
Oppose for the first. This would be probably an huge traffic gadget. We have a similar gadget for tagging/scanning user groups but with a static list (from a Bot: MediaWiki:Gadget-markAdmins.js). @Jeff G. and Tacsipacsi: . I would first listen to the opinion of a WM technician. And then I would merge this functionality somehow as extension to the markAdmins gadget. -- User: Perhelion 20:22, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
@Perhelion: Yes, it would probably be somewhat less expensive to do both in the same gadget.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 01:55, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
Alternatives are Popups and somewhat m:User:Perhelion/userstatus. -- User: Perhelion 12:52, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
I have never developed any JavaScript on a such huge-traffic site, so I haven’t had to do anything with performance. Probably someone else will know it better, I just wanted to make sure that if an admin gets to this, they know which files should be copied. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 13:51, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
Not done No consensus and concerns regarding performance (if enabled), users may still load it using their own Common.js . --Steinsplitter (talk) 09:17, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

goTopIcon

30-pixel
35-pixel

I made a script which adds the button scrolling to the top of the page. Initially, the button is invisible, but once you scroll down, you'll see the green button on the right side of bottom. Clicking the button will make you go to the top of the page, and the button will fade out once you reach the top. I think this tool will be useful. The script is stored at User:Kwj2772/goTopIcon.js. Best regards. – Kwj2772 (talk) 18:49, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

This is now a gadget: MediaWiki:Gadget-scrollUpButton.jsKwj2772 (talk) 11:49, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Works fine, but the icon is too large. -- User: Perhelion 22:52, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Then, how about 30px or 35px? Which size is better you think? – Kwj2772 (talk) 07:01, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
I think 30 is fine, but you could ask for a third opinion. -- User: Perhelion 10:26, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
On the other hand, I need often on talk pages (may also for Cats) a goBottomIcon. What do you think!? (For sure there is for both a short key ctrl+end, but a single mouse click is often more comfort.) -- User: Perhelion 12:57, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
Maybe the button should use the wm colour palette. --Steinsplitter (talk) 13:06, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
How about combining this WM-icons simply in a circle!?
Should be blue or green? -- User: Perhelion 12:36, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
I like both colours, dunno. --Steinsplitter (talk) 14:48, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Finaly in green -- User: Perhelion 19:51, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
I changed the icon to the blue button, . I think the blue button has better visibility, and the blue button is filled with white background color inside the circle, so its overlapping problem with text would be solved. – Kwj2772 (talk) 10:44, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Hey yes, blue is better, welcome back and thanks! -- User: Perhelion 11:45, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

External Search

I made a script which adds the Google Search to the search bar per small arrow. Leant on improved mw:MediaWiki:Gadget-externalsearch-bar.js. -- User: Perhelion 12:41, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

PS: This is now a gadget. -- User: Perhelion 14:46, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
This is a cool feature. Thanks! --Steinsplitter (talk) 14:50, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
