English: The Scuola Grande di San Rocco was built from 1517 to 1560 and is one of the 6 great Scuole in Venice. It is situated in Sestiere San Polo and the best preserved Scuola, as it was the only Scuola not to be destroyed by Napoleon.
Between 1564 and 1588 Jacopo Tintoretto furnished the Scuola with a cycle of 56 canvases with biblical themes.
