English: The reigning branch of the Medici carried Or six torteaux. In 1465 the central of the three in chief was augmented by the King of France with three fleurs-de-lys Or "in segno de singulare affezione", and therefore was made azure. (Bianca Capello, a tragedy By Laughton Osborn, p. 357)
