Usage[edit]

Creates an external link which runs thumb.php to regenerate an image thumbnail at a specified size. Syntax:

{{Regenerate thumbnail|Image file name|pixels}}

where:

  • Image file name - the name of an image file for which to generate a thumbnail. Do not include the File: prefix.
  • pixels - pixel size of the thumbnail to regenerate.

Edit the template call onto a scratch page (such as a user sandbox page), and click the resulting link to regenerate and redisplay the thumbnail. If the image file name contains funny characters, precede it with a 1=.
