- Usage
- This template should be used in a template that will display taxon vernaculare names.
- You can see usage sample in the templates in Category:Species name templates.
- Note: en= is now mandatory in case of display=short/medium/flight
- This template is used to test changes in {{VNIncluded}}.You can then test your edits in {{VNIncluded/testcases}}.
When the new version is ready, you can move it to the main template.

- Syntax
{{VNIncluded | display=<displayType> | description=<description> | name=<name> | useWikidata=<WikidataItem> | XX=<vernacular name in XX lang> }}
- Parameters

- display=<displayType>
- The kind of display you want.
- Possible values are: short, medium, long, flight
- As the value is provided as parameter to the calling function, just provide |display={{{1}}}
- Sample (for {{Turdus merula}}): |display={{{1|}}}
- description=<description> (optional)
- A description of the media using the calling template
- As the value is provided as optional parameter to the calling function, just provide |description={{{2|}}}
- Sample (for {{Turdus merula}}): |description={{{2|}}}
- name=<name> (was previously |template=<name>)
- The name of the calling template, the taxon scientificname, the taxon categoryname and taxon galleryname
- If the calling template has a strange name, set |templatename=<templatename>
- Sample (for {{Turdus merula}}): |name=Turdus merula
- Sample (for {{I18n/Blattodea}}): |name=Blattodea|templatename=I18n/Blattodea
- useWikidata=<WikidataItem>
- The reference of the wikidata item (the article item, not the category item)
- Sample (for {{Turdus merula}}): |useWikidata=Q25234
- XX=<vernacular name in XX lang>
- The language parameters as in {{VN}}
- Sample (for {{Turdus merula}}): |en=Blackbird, Common Blackbird
