Usage

Use this template to add a reference to a taxon on the web site WRMS by providing the taxon id on WRMS.

If the taxon is a species or a subspecies, prefer Template:WRMS species (which does not display "+species list").

Note: This template can be used in conjunction with {{Taxoconflict}}, {{Taxa}}, {{Genera}}, {{Genera2}}, {{Species}}, {{Species2}} and {{Subspecies}} with parameter "source=WoRMS" (See here the different values for source)

Syntaxe

Parameters

• id

the id of the taxon on WRMS web site.

How to retrieve the id: In the url www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=1130 the id is 1130

Sample (for Decapoda): 1130

• name (optional)

The name of the taxon with its author

Warning: don't forget italic for genera.

Sample (for Decapoda): Decapoda Latreille, 1803

• validity (optional)

If the taxon is considered as unaccepted or synonym by ITIS, add nv.

Sample (for Scrobiculariidae): nv

• display=<rank> (optional)

The rank of subtaxon to display. Possible values: phyla, classes, subclasses, infraclasses, superorders, orders, families, genera, species, nothing (to display no subtaxon)

Sample (for Decapoda): display=families

• checks=no (optional)

This template compares the parameter <speciesId> with the property P850 stored in wikidata (Not in case nv is provided because taxon is not valid).

When different, a maintenance category is added.

checks=no disables this test when {{WRMS}} does not describe the taxon described in wikidata (Happens when there are multiple call to {{WRMS}} or {{WRMS species}} on the same category/gallery, mainly in monotypic taxons)
