Template talk:BIC

Now, this template only serves to Monuments, but there are more tipes of BIC in Spain. The first version was for all tipes. It must be usefull for all tipes, gardens, libraries, etc. and not only for monuments. When somebody fill in the template with a number the template completes the code with a 51 (the number for monuments) but this must be a parameter introduced by the user, because it could be BI, 54, 53, etc. --Millars (talk) 10:55, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

I en català[edit]

Estaria bé que hi hagués un enllaç de Bé d'interès cultural a l'article en català. Algú s'ho pot mirar? Gràcies. --Catalaalatac (talk) 15:13, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

No acabe d'entendre la sugerència. Jo veig que els enllaços a Bé d'interés cultural ja porten a l'article en català. --Millars (talk) 17:38, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Update of the documentation[edit]

This template is doing things that are not documented. Can anyone update the documentation so that we all know how to use it propperly? Thanks. --Albert Villanova del Moral (talk) 16:50, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

Which things do you mean? Basically the template works with an unnamed parameter for the identifier. Additional optional parameters get default values based on id patterns. I have added a table with those defaults at Module:BIC. --V.Riullop (talk) 23:19, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Exactly that: This template now uses a module and there are default values for the parameters depending on the pattern of the reference number. This is not explained in the documentation of the template. --Albert Villanova del Moral (talk) 11:56, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
I've added in column "default" a link to Module:BIC/doc with more information. --V.Riullop (talk) 15:03, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
Furthermore, the name of the template and the main description of the template ("Marks monuments indexed in the Spanish heritage register of Bienes de Interés Cultural with the reference number and a link to the database avaible") are misleading because this template is used also for non-BIC cultural heritages. --Albert Villanova del Moral (talk) 12:01, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
Description field updated. Be bold to improve it. Renaming is problematic as it is a known and widely used template with a simple name. Do you have any suggestion? --V.Riullop (talk) 15:03, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
