This template doesn't work where filenames have wikitext in them. See Image:Taviers JPG05.jpg for example. Angela 09:28, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

It's probably a bad idea to put wikitext in a filename then. --Ikiwaner 07:46, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Error with Chinese[edit]

Hello! I don't know the reason, but there is something wrong with the template. Instead of the link to the Chinese translation you can see "[[Template:Cc-by-2.0/zh-hant". --Stefan Knauf (talk) 15:14, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Manner of attribution[edit]

Does CC-BY v2 really demand that attribution be in the form requested by the author? It is my understanding that the author may request to be called anything he request "in a reasonable manner" but not make special requests about manner of attribution. I mean, can authors demand credit lines in wikipedia articles or news articles? Can the wording of the credit line be specified?

Right now the template indicates yes to these questions. Chico Venancio (talk) 16:45, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
