English: The University of California, Berkeley (also known as The University of California or simply Berkeley, also Cal, UCB, UC Berkeley) is a public California university of the University of California system in the United States, founded in 1868. It is the most prominent university and the oldest campus within the UC system and it is located in Berkeley in the east San Francisco Bay area.
