Greetings! I am third year medical student in the United States, entirely new to editing Wikipedia (while procrastinating from studying) and hoping to upload some pictures I have taken and releasing them into the public domain. Note: after a summer vacation in Europe, I started medical school in New Orleans only to be trapped in LSU medical center for several days during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I took many pictures, but I'll probably take my time uploading them as it's an experience I don't like to remember very often.

On September 2, 2005, the students, faculty, and staff that were trapped at LSU Health Science Center in downtown New Orleans were evacuated by helicopter from the medical school parking garage. I was one of them.
At Louis Armstrong International Airport, I took this picture after walking away from the blackhawk helicopter that rescued me from downtown New Orleans on September 2, 2005. It was the first time I had ever ridden in a helicopter.
