Welcome![edit] is one other example for an open source project

Here is my view of the Wikimedia Project:

Open source ist an idea, whose time now has eventually come. For instance, it is animated here at Wikimedia Commons.

Information can hardly ever get lost for a thermo-dynamic heat death in not likely in our universe.

Every piece of information entered into a public information memory (e. g. Wikipedia), thas has at least some kind of das "relevance", will finally prevail (eventually - somewhere down the road).

What I mean with that is, today certain pieces of information may be considered "wrong" or "irrelevant" , but may posess eminent importance in the future. No fiction writer could ever imagine today's importance of DNA or mobile telecommunication or computer networking.

Have fun at Wikimedia Commons! - Paunaro
