I'm from Denmark, born in Copenhagen 1949 where I lived at Frederiksberg and in summer time at Raageleje north of Copenhagen. In 1977 I moved to Karlslunde and in 1993 to Karlstrup, both south of Copenhagen. Since autumn 2005 I've been living on a tropical island in the southern part of Gulf of Thailand.

I'm educated in flight planned and navigation. and also full commercial pilot theory. From 1970-1979 I worked for the Scandinavian airline Sterling Airways, the later years as consultant. Since 1976 I've been self-employed within music and audio business, where I opened a recording studio; had vinyl-record pressing plant and music-cassette duplication; later CD & DVD duplication. I've also been Danish agent for a number of major professional audio brands, from 1979 until 2005. I'm still active as music publisher.

In my spare time I take photos that might have common interest and upload these to Wikimedia, and I also write articles and updates in Danish language Wikipedia.

If you use any of my photos outside Wiki-projects, I will be pleased to know. Thank you.

My notes about elections photo legality:

Election posters...

Section 38. A drawing, painting, engraving, molding, carving, lithographing, photographing, cinematographing or video broadcasting of an architectural work shall not be deemed an infringement of copyright in the architectural work.
Section 39. A photographing or a cinematographing or a video broadcasting of a work of which an artistic work is a component shall not be deemed an infringement of copyright in the artistic work.

Which Google translates to: Section 37. Any drawing, painting, construction, engraving, sculpting, carving, printing, photography, filmmaking, broadcasting, or any similar act involving any artwork permanently displayed in a public place, other than architectural works, shall not be deemed to infringe copyright on that artwork.
The word permanently seems missing in the official English translation.

Google AI reply: "Section 37 of the Thai Copyright Act (Copyright Act B.E. 2537) has remained unchanged through subsequent amendments to the law."

Perplexity answer...
"Yes, in general it is lawful for ordinary people to photograph election posters in public spaces in Thailand, as the posters are displayed in public and there is no rule banning simple photography of them for personal use or ordinary news/commentary. The legal issues arise not from taking the photo itself, but from what you do with the image."

Photos in polling stations...
The EC legal department said, "the law does not directly forbid photography inside polling stations, but Section 97 of the Organic Act on the Election of MPs B.E. 2561 (2018) prohibits voters from using any devices to photograph their marked ballots. This provision aims to prevent fraud, as sometimes such photos are used to claim vote-buying payments after voting. This differs from media coverage photographing prominent individuals voting. Therefore, the public should avoid photographing ballots inside polling stations for sharing, as it may lead to complaints and legal disputes."
