I'm interested in birds, photography, and wildlife advocacy through visual arts and writing. On occasion, I donate photos to the Commons, especially if the species is rare and endangered like Potamopyrgus oppidanus and Nestor meridionalis (my beloved kākā parrot).

For five years, I ran the weekly "Art of Birding" wildlife and photography challenge to help people improve their photography for advocacy purposes. It's currently on hiatus, but I hope to bring it back sometime.

You can find out more about my fine-art photography and photoartistry on my website. Most images featuring native or endangered wildlife includes a 10% donation to conservation. As of 2025, I've raised nearly $27000 for conservation.
