I am an avid nature photographer and sometimes contribute images to Wikimedia Commons to illustrate articles (although I'm not inclined to give my very best to the public domain). I occasionally make original maps or graphics as well. Although I have traveled to several countries, and states in the US, I have photographed most extensively in my home state of Texas and the neighboring state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. I was born in Houston, Texas in 1958, and have lived in Houston and worked in the fields of herpetology and fine art all of my life.
