Flag of Normandy, suggestion

[edit]

Hi,

I would like to ask you something about your Flag of Normandy's image ( https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Normandie.svg ) The colors and the design are perfect, but could it be resized (i don't know if resize is the good word)

Here's an example of this Normandy's flag with the proportions we're used to : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Drapeau_de_la_Normandie.png

Sorry, I don't know how to use the .SVG.

Thank you --Oedipe23 (talk) 00:32, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Oedipe23: thank you for your message! I've adapted the proportions of the SVG file. — Ætoms (talk) 13:40, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Caroline van der Plas

[edit]

Photo taken in 2021? Not according to the Exif data, mentioning: Date and time of data generation: 08:39, 12 March 2020. Exif data can be wrong, certainly, but what is your source proving the photo was taken in March 2021? Vysotsky (talk) 13:42, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Vysotsky: Hi! The source of the photo seems to be the House of Representatives ([1]). Van der Plas wasn't an MP yet in 2020. Also, she wore this outfit ([2]) on the day the newly elected MPs got their pictures taken (see [3] at 2:02). So the Exif data is probably wrong. — Ætoms (talk) 14:21, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NB: I copied this discussion to File talk:Caroline van der Plas 2020.jpg#Date of creation. Let's continue the discussion there. — Ætoms (talk) 15:41, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with the flag of Sark on Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi, I would like to know if you could do a modification on the SVG flag of Sark ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Sark.svg )

On the current wikimedia's one, the lions don't touch the bars, but they are supposed to exceed over (like that : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drapeau_normand#/media/Fichier:Sark-flag-sized.png )

Here's the page of the official version certified by the Flag Institute : https://www.flaginstitute.org/wp/flags/sark-flag/

Samenstelling Tweede Kamer

[edit]

Hoi Ætoms. Vier jaar geleden heb jij File:Dutch House of Representatives, 2017.svg gemaakt.

Zie Dutch House of Representatives, 2021.svg.
Nogmaals, heel erg bedankt :) Dajasj (talk) 20:13, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Graag gedaan! Ætoms (talk) 20:42, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I dont speak Dutch so I have no clue what you guys are talking about but I couldnt help but notice that if you click on the image it show "Volt" having 3 seats. Nilüfer Gündoğan was thrown out of the party in february so it might be smart to change that! كميراج (talk) 12:11, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Preferably a new image then, because right now I use it on pages from before the latest Volt changes :) Dajasj (talk) 12:01, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Would you able to make one? Would be cool for several pages! Dajasj (talk) 12:41, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Dajasj and كميراج: Here you go!Ætoms (talk) 19:02, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again! :) Dajasj (talk) 19:06, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there appears to be a new challenge for you :P Dajasj (talk) 14:32, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Check ;) — Ætoms (talk) 21:19, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Would it be possible to make the recent changes also striped? Soo JA21/BBB and PVV/BBB. That works best for the lists of members :) Dajasj (talk) 05:51, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Changed it! — Ætoms (talk) 11:30, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Small error on the image of the flag of La Manche

[edit]

Hello,

Could you make a small modification on this image: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Drapeau_non-officiel_fr_d%C3%A9partement_Manche.svg

The flag taking up the coat of arms of the Manche, drawn by Robert Louis, the separation of the blue zone and the red zone must not be straight, but wavy.

Here are the coats of arms: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manche_(d%C3%A9partement)#H%C3%A9raldique

This flag appears on the bottom left of the cover of this book: https://france3-regions.francetvinfo.fr/image/foZpLNQxl1SvBdfreEv1SzZ8njE/1200x1200/regions/2021/10/16/6169fb3d955a7_livre-drapeaux-de-normandie-photo-5491399.jpg

Cordially, Thank you ! Oedipe23 (talk) 05:29, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Oedipe23: My apologies for the delay; I've been away so I haven't had the chance to respond to your request earlier. I've uploaded a new version of the flag with a wavy line and improved leopards! — Ætoms (talk) 14:19, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like.
