Merci d'avance. CordialementMortier.Daniel (talk) 06:29, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for your work on commons[edit]

Thank you for your corrections of copyright clauses of the documents that I uploaded on Commons. User:Grijz

It was not my intention to violate copyright. OPedrito (talk) 18:22, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Not a problem, just be more careful in what you upload in the future Abzeronow (talk) 04:42, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi, with works like File:Charles Leland.jpg (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) please avoid using {{PD-old-assumed}} when other licenses can correctly apply. The template makes the public domain status appear dubious for reusers, which in this case is unnecessary. Thanks -- (talk) 11:52, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

Source listed was Austrian. Almost used the UK Unknown template, but thought PD-old-assumed was a better catch-all if photo was European. Didn't think to check if it was American, so thanks for the corrections you made. I do try to apply other licenses when I can.
P.S. Had filed an undeletion request for Alfred Offner's WW1 posters that haven't been restored yet. Put an Undelete in 2019 category on the Mass DR that deleted many WW1 posters since 6 or 7 files can be restored in 2019. Abzeronow (talk) 15:47, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

I just noticed your userpage and thought you might really like Category:Photographers that died in 1947 and Category:Photographers by year of death. It would be great if the categories were more populated. Also, please do sign the photo request petition to TASS and RIA Novosti. Thanks, --PlanespotterA320 (talk) 15:06, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Signed petition (probably will be my only interaction with since I don't speak or write Russian). Will eventually work on looking for Russian photographers and the like who died in 1943 who haven't been undeleted yet. Yes, it would be nice to see such categories more populated. Hopefully the new year will bring many newly freed files that will be completely free of the URAA and/or various copyright laws. Abzeronow (talk) 21:33, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Première page de l'ouvrage de Daniel de Morley.png[edit]

I uploaded this media file after having asked the permission to the owner's organisation. I have an email to prove it. It was the first time I uploaded a file and I could not find how to translate this permission as a licence right. I should have read everything there is on how wikipedia works before. I am sorry for the trouble I give. I just issued a request for deletion. I will take the time to learn how to include images into the article I am preparing. If I am really allowed to include this picture, I will do it properly.

Rejeangirard (talk) 19:00, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

It's a public domain document. I only filed a DR to save it from an erroneous speedy deletion. In this case, since Wikimedia servers are in the U.S, a mere reproduction of a two-dimensional artistic work doesn't give it a new copyright so it would fall under PD-old-100. Also for future reference, please use four tildes to sign your name on talk pages. Abzeronow (talk) 19:10, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Thank you![edit]

Hi, thanks a lot for editing the copyright status for and other pictures in this category. Much appreciated! I keep having this problem since i started uploading images with pattypan...

You're welcome. It was obvious that the intended license wasn't transcluded, and so it was a simple but somewhat time-consuming(since there were over 100 files) task. Abzeronow (talk) 09:01, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

Files uploaded by Aspahbod[edit]

Can you please reconsider your position on this request? Note that in the deletion request in 2017 Ellin found “no indication of own work on any…” (suggesting that all files listed were declared as {{own}} by Aspahbod), whereas nowadays she admitted that Aspahbod credited at least one upload to a third party. It’s became known that this upload was approved by a license reviewer in 2012. We shouldn’t trust a mass action effected with such a gross negligence. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 19:24, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

I could strike part of my message there, but this description on File:ArashRockets.PNG also concerned me "1=My own drawings of Arash rockets based on images from". Sounds like it might be a COM:DW Abzeronow (talk) 01:01, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
It is unfortunate that the source link is 404, but this specific drawing is out of copyright anyway because doesn’t reach the threshold. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 14:21, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
Yes, I took a look at the file now that it is temporarily undeleted. Undeletion should be permanent as you say. Abzeronow (talk) 14:26, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi! And the license of the photographer? This photo not contains only the book. --Regasterios (talk) 16:10, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

OK, filed a deletion request Commons:Deletion requests/File:Vizsolyibiblia.jpg. Abzeronow (talk) 16:13, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
OK, thank you. --Regasterios (talk) 17:44, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

Re: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Lord Cawley.jpg[edit]

Hi, Abzeronow. I have added new information to the deletion discussion you might want to look at. Cheers. --Rrburke (talk) 13:21, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

Original Barnstar Hires.png The Original Barnstar
Hi, I award you the Public Domain Barnstar for your research on public domain works to be undeleted. I am going through your list. Happy New Year! Yann (talk) 06:35, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

Is there any way I can prove the photo was done by me•? I still have the original photo, if I can have an e-mail I can send. And the picture was done with the same camera of this picture (File:Pisa_(2004).jpg). --Santista1982 (talk) 20:29, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) The original File:Ciclovia.jpg (histlogsabuse log) was deleted because was published on in 2005—that is, earlier than the Commons upload—hence it won’t be restored without a written declaration. @Santista1982: try Commons:Email templates; or perhaps you can identify the Wikimedia account with account on the Web forum? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 21:19, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Incnis Mrsi is right. You need to contact COM:OTRS. If you still have original data for that photo, send it to them. Abzeronow (talk) 15:19, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
@Incnis Mrsi: But if the photo was done by me and I can prove where is the problem if I uploaded somewhere else before? For example the File:Tufara.png (histlogsabuse log) I took from the video I uploaded first on youtube here [1] so it should also be deleted? --Santista1982 (talk) 21:39, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
@Santista1982: if online, the solution would depend on the copyright status. is explicitly copyrighted hence no leniency may be expected. You shouldn’t specify {{own}} for anything which appeared in Internet before uploading. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 21:56, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
@Incnis Mrsi: on the template own it says "Use this to say that you personally created the entire original image by yourself". So if the picture was done by me I can use {{own}} even if I uploaded on another place. --Santista1982 (talk) 22:30, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Can you prove identity of the Google user with the Wikimedia user? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 22:37, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Yes. --Santista1982 (talk) 22:46, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Really? I disconnect from now on and also regret that wasted time of a third user trying yo help Santista1982 with Ciclovia.jpg. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 22:58, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
But what do you mean with "third user"? --Santista1982 (talk) 23:31, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Acted upon. Let’s see outcome. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 22:37, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
