I have uploaded a few images of actor Suriya on commons from BH. The photos show him attending a press conference for the 2014 SIIMA Awards. Could you review the photos for OTRS? Thanks. Ssven2 (talk) 10:16, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

Unlucky choice of images. Can you nominate them for deletion? See Commons:Deletion requests/SIIMA images from bollywoodhungama. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 10:20, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
While the images are undeniably SIIMA related, is there proof there were actually taken in India and not abroad? If there is, I think they can be used. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:10, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

The owner of that image is expected to send a permission email via an ID containing the name "malimanoj93". Once it is received, you know what to do. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:22, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

IIFA images at Bollywood Hungama[edit]

BH's free images policy does not include photos taken outside India, and there are tons of IIFA images from that site uploaded here illegally. Please get all the BH images from these categories deleted: Category:International Indian Film Academy Awards and Category:2012 IIFA Awards. --Kailash29792 (talk) 13:44, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Why can't you yourself start nominations? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 03:40, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Commons:Deletion requests/File:Biathlon European Championships 2017 Individual Men 0222.JPG[edit]

Shamefull secsission. You follow a person, who never ever upload an image to Commons, a person who even at de:WP works very often ageinst me. You delete an image, that shows Sports. The result of Sports. I will remember this for the next time. As long Administrators like you act this way, I will think about my iploads in future. Maye it was a fault, to donate more than 23.000 of my images to Commons. Marcus Cyron (talk) 19:34, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

@Marcus Cyron: I am not at all aware of you or the DR nominator or the relationship you guys have. Being a totally uninvolved admin I do not think my judgment had anything to do with the uploader or the nominator but only to do with the usability of the image. I still believe that COM:EDUSE is not met. But you know you can still try COM:UNDEL if you are not satisfied with the result. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:01, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Bijendra01 (talk · contribs)[edit]

Hi, Dharmadhyaksha. When you have some time, please look contributions of Bijendra. They have no categories and no normal description. That way they are out of project scope. If you can identify, describe and categorize some of them, that's good. Others must be deleted. Taivo (talk) 16:08, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

@Taivo: Described, categorized and renamed five images that were left undeleted as of today. I hope we don't have to go through various deleted images of the user. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:51, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

Akshatha Inamdar's images[edit]

Not entirely sure what you'd like comments on, so I'll give one general and one specific. I suppose you already know much of this (it's not like people get elected admins after a month of activity here), but I don't want to omit part of my train of thought.

General: yes, we almost never need multiple copies of the same image. Sometimes it can be useful, e.g. {{Archival version}}, alternate renditions of famous paintings, or odd situations where multiple copies are uploaded to deal with some MediaWiki technical issue, but with a typical user-created image, one copy is sufficient; additional copies should be deleted if there's not already some demonstrated use, although of course any admin should undelete one if someone wants to use the image and the non-deleted one doesn't quite do the trick.

In all the gallery-displayed images in the thread you put at COM:AN, I believe that the color version is more useful than the B&W. Seeing that we (WMF-wide) almost always use color images, and that B&W images are typically used in situations where a color image doesn't exist, I doubt that people are going to use B&W for these images when color's available. That issue's particularly relevant here because these are famous landmarks with tons of pictures; maybe if we had half a dozen images of a place, we could retain all of these, but as Category:Taj Mahal and its subcategories have more than two thousand images, and as Category:Sydney Opera House has several hundred (and each one has a whole subcategory for black-and-white images), I just don't get the point of keeping all of these. My Lonar, Sindkkhed Raja photos[edit]

Its been observed that you have summarily deleted the Photos which carry lot of good value. You have reduced the Lonar lake into a minor article. Everyone knows how important Lonar is in terms of Geological, Architectural & tourism. By reducing it to minor it has been hurt so much that any international visitor would not bother on visiting.

Similarly Markanda Mahadev is such an ancient place of importance and you reduced it to TEXT article. i suspect the intention of mass deletion. Please explain me & remove my doubt on intention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Satish-ansingkar (talk • contribs) 04:56, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
