Despite enormous efforts (18,113 edits and many own works uploaded in 2 years) my work is constantly damaged (curiously not by unregistered external users, but internal well established expert vandals who do nothing to improve a file, but claim to be experts when it comes to file name, among others). I need to get some rest from this place. If you have a constructive message to me (not only to block me) feel free to contact me here or through e-mail contact option.

Emperor Augustus and Sibyl of Tibur[edit]

Pozdrawiam. Gytha (talk) 09:15, 20 December 2016 (UTC)

I noticed that you uploaded a file using the name File:Maillol Pierre-Auguste Renoir.jpg. A file by this name already existed on Commons. Overwriting an existing file should not be done except when making minor, uncontroversial corrections, so the file has been restored to its previous version. If the file that you attempted to upload is within our project scope and is in the public domain or published under a free license, please upload it again under a different name. Thank you. For more information, please see Commons:Overwriting files.

Witaj. Przepraszam, umknęła mi Twoja odpowiedź w poprzedniej sprawie, ale w tej chwili za z inną kwestią - czy mógłbyś podać w preferencjach swój adres e-mail, żeby można było do Ciebie napisać przez system wiki? Albo napisać maila do mnie? (gyda.ogg(wiadomy znaczek)gmail.com). Ktoś z MNW chciałby się z Tobą skontaktować w sprawie atrybucji podlinkowanego w tytule wątku obrazu. Pozdrawiam. Thank you ![edit]

Thank you very much for your graphic contribution, I used your file Wikipedia guidelines.jpg in catalan wikipedia for the "paròdia" ("parody", in English) entry. <3 :D --Slastic (talk) 17:33, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

Rationale[edit]

  • Hello. Do you want a rationale. For instance, I ask: "Kolesov Anna Karenina.jpg" what does it mean? Who is the painter?: Kolesov? or Kolesov Anna? or Kolesov Anna Karenina? And the subject who is? Kolesov Anna Karenina? or Kolesov Anna? or Anna Karenina? or Karenina? You know Kolesow and Anna Karenina but Commons is not for you or art professionals but for the world and people in the world have the right to not know Kolesov or Anna Karenina or Eastern Europe names and the right to read a title that "should be descriptive" (Commons:naming conventions). Not a charade based on the uses of art professionals or experts. Second Kolesow who.? If I name a painting "Brugel - landscape...". Which Brugel is? Also if now Kolesov is the unique famous painter what will we do if will be another famous Kolesov painter who we now do not know? Here in Commons the are two standard "Name Surname - title" [for instance]" or "title by Name Surname". or "title, Name Surname" [for instance]. These are not "... meaningless or ambiguous name"s "that describe what the image particularly displays". Commons:File renaming. Anyway since you are the uploader I'll try to rename back as you wish elsewhere I'll ask to an administrator but your choices are not the best. Regards--Pierpao.lo (listening) 11:28, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Which are the files in Category:Porczyński Gallery that you want to be renamed?
  • If you want to sort the file by Surnames you can use the {{DEFAULTSORT}} magic word or the standard "Surname, Name - title"--Pierpao.lo (listening) 11:39, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
That's why you have description to know who's the author or sitter, mnw naming convention is only indicative and it's correct. Please focus on files that really need your attention. Artinpl (talk) 13:30, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
There is no MNW naming convention. This is Commons not the MNW website and Commons rules say that the title must describe the image. Not say that the title must describe the image if there is not a description. Please ask this question: are you an employee or representant of the MNW?--Pierpao.lo (listening) 17:53, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
I will not ask for your permission or consult you how I should name my own work or the PD file that I am uploading. There's MNW naming convention in Commons, work out by me and some other users for few years, if you like it or not, and there was no problem with this. Please familiarize yourself with Commons:File renaming guidelines, especially Criteria to decline section. Artinpl (talk) 10:14, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

File:Dobson Portrait of Henry Stone with his son.jpg[edit]

Hi, Artinpl, I was wondering if this could be a portrait of Henry Stone (painter). Since you were the uploader, you might know. Thank you for your time. :) Lotje (talk) 11:57, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi, indeed it is. According to Agnieszka Janczyk - This is probably a replica of Dobson's portrait of the painter Henry Stone and his son from the collection of the Duke of Somerset in Northumberland House (ref added). However, it is more probable that the elder sitter should be identified as Nicholas Stone (1586/7-1647). Thank you for pointing this out. Artinpl (talk) 17:28, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

File:Chopin's Polonaise by Anton Teofil Kwiatkowski.jpg[edit]

You did not talk to me. You did not ask other admins for their opinion. You just undo my decision. I'm elected as Administrator to decide those cases. So you don't have the right to undo this! You can talk to me. You can talk to other admins. You can request my decision, can ask for a second view. All of those ways would be OK. But to undo my decision is just anarchy. We don't need anarchy! Marcus Cyron (talk) 19:01, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

By restoring the request (undoing your edition) I am asking for a second view. The only person who is creating fuss and chaos is you. I was requesting to rename file into File:Kwiatkowski Chopin's Polonaise.jpg and provided all rationale, and you moved it into File:Chopin's Polonaise by Anton Teofil Kwiatkowski.jpg. Please do not change the names if you cannot rename as requested. Artinpl (talk) 19:10, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
No. This is not asking for a second view. this is hoping, that a second person will do what you want. You have undo again my desicion. Once more and it will have consequences. Marcus Cyron (talk) 19:17, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
It is asking for a second view. Let's hope that the only consequence will be that you will be stripped from admin rights. Artinpl (talk) 19:23, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

OK, you have begged for it. Marcus Cyron (talk) 20:17, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Something truly about you :) Artinpl (talk) 21:00, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

I have blocked you for one week for making a legal threat against another user. You cannot simultaneously participate in Commons and make a legal threat against another user. You can still edit this talk page. If you are willing to withdraw the legal threat, please just say so here. I (or someone else) will unblock you with the expectation that your next edit after being unblocked will be the removal of the legal threat. If you will not withdraw the legal threat, or if you are unblocked and attempt other editing without withdrawing the legal threat, then the next step will be an indefinite block.

I strongly hope you are willing to withdraw the threat and continue to participate in Commons. - Jmabel ! talk 02:39, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
