Image Tagging Image:Ennio De Giorgi.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ennio De Giorgi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a gallery of images you have uploaded at the Gallery by choosing 'commons.wikimedia.org' and typing your username in. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. OK, that makes sense. If you know when the image was created or who created, that would be helpful to include on the page, but if you don't know, I think it's OK. That license makes sense. Thanks for your help. --Spangineeren es (háblame) 02:53, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Category:Incomplete deletion requests[edit]

Hi, A number of deletion requests have ended up in the Category:Incomplete deletion requests, in particular the Leone XIII - Rosario series that you uploaded. Can you go back and give a reason for why you want the images deleted so the requests can be processed. Thank you. -- Deadstar (msg) 10:37, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. Can you let me know what you have called the new images? I can then delete the old ones. Thanks. -- Deadstar (msg) 15:03, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
You can just upload the new image over the top of the old one, just give it the same name. You will get a warning, but you can ignore it. I (as an admin) should not delete images without there being a replacement you see. The philosophy here is "better a bad image than no image" :) I hope you understand. If you need more help, let me know. -- Deadstar (msg) 08:36, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Slight change of mind on my part: I have created the deletion request for other admins to look at. Perhaps someone else will decide it is OK to delete anyway. -- Deadstar (msg) 12:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Come ho scritto anche al Bar in risposta alla tua domanda, a quanto ne so non si può fare un sitenotice solo per gli italiani, bisogna proprio passare da quello centrale. Hi Aubrey,

I do not understand Italian. I thus have just corrected certain grammatical mistakes in French, and repeated some sentences. But there are still numerous incomprehensible sentences which I am incapable to correct. It would be necessary to find a real translator. Sorry ! --M0tty (talk) 16:55, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Dubbi copyright[edit]

Ciao. Ti conviene caricare sia l'immagine originale sia il tuo crop, usando poi {{Cropped}} per richiamarla.--Trixt (talk) 19:50, 17 September 2012 (UTC) P.S. questa era la mia risposta prima di leggere il fondo pagina del tuo link, che addirittura cita Commons!: Disclaimer: The two-dimensional works of art depicted in all wallpapers on art-wallpaper.com are in the public domain worldwide due to the date of death of their authors, or due to their date of publication, and are offered in good faith. Picture of the Year voting round 1 open[edit]

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

  1. Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
  2. This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
  3. Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.

To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons

Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Does WMIT[edit]

have a technic-pool like WMAT or WMDE? And if not, why not? I didn´t find any informations on www.wikimedia.it Especially the WMAT-Pool is well filled and enthusiastically used. Would be a great advantage for fotographers, which cannot afford some spezial lenses for special occasions. Maybe, there is a individual grant possible for one of your italian (roman) fotographer? --Hubertl (talk) 12:11, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
