A barnstar for you![edit]

Special Barnstar Hires.png The Special Barnstar
For somehow finding the name of this coach - I spent an entire week searching "Vetter", Vefter" and god knows what else Yet I couldn't find a single thing so I'm extremely surprised you found it, I ended up assuming it was a Setra with a modified front but I was clearly wrong Face-grin.svg ,

Keep up the great bloody work! :). –Davey2010Talk 02:43, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

A barnstar for you![edit]

Well I didn't think I'd be giving you another barnstar 2 months later! Face-grin.svg,

I wanted to say Thank you for sorting the images of the Van Hool coaches in to the actual correct categories,
Now I feel guilty for shoving them in one category as unknowingly I've created more work for you .... Sorry! Face-grin.svg
Anyway thanks for your hard work in sorting them! :) - It's much appreciated,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 14:35, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

As you saw I moved many pics in Buses cats: VDL, Van Hool, DAF, MB, Ikarus... I know many brands but I don't know any types (except if it's visible). You'll have fun (I hope) with almost 100 or 200 pics or more!!!

Have a nice end of week. --LW² \m/ (Lie 2 me ...) 14:51, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Just wanted to say thanks for the cleanup of the MB Citaro categories :-) --Nenntmichruhigip (talk) 19:49, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

No problem! I figured that someone had to do it, and I wanted to do it. :-) I was a bit unsure how to name the original (1st generation pre-facelift) and the standard 12 m length, but I found out that it was best to just make them under an understandable name so that people can put the files in their right place. I didn't finish sorting files from the main category, but I may do that later, and anyway now everybody can do it with the categories in place. I also didn't add any categories for CNG versions, but I guess one can make them as subcategories to their respective types if there is a need for it. Bergenga (talk) 20:14, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
Actually I was the one who made (one of the possibly duplicate) old pre-facelift categories. And yeah, I like your solution much more and might help sorting the main category next year :-) Do you have any idea how to handle Citaro Ü with citybus front and/or a two-wing first door? Also for the opposite direction: Standard bus with overland front --Nenntmichruhigip (talk) 10:35, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
It's a good question about the Ü versions. I really don't know if there is a good way unless one know the exact identity and configuration of every single bus. I experimented a bit more and made it so that the Ü versions are now subcategories to their repsective main versions, since there seems to be no exact way to tell them apart in all cases. So now all versions available at the first level are different lengths, and then I separated the two LE version lengths a bit. The only obvious exception then is the Citaro MÜ, which is both a special length and an Ü version. I'm also not sure if I have identified all MÜ from the 12-metre version. It's a bit difficult to tell the difference at some angles, and it is really only if one can clearly see the door-side (there is a larger space between the second door and the rear axle) or if it is identified in filename or text that one might really get it right.
Here in Norway I don't think I've ever seen a Citaro with the overland front. All that I can think of have the citybus front, no mather if they are Ü version or not. I'm not saying that there aren't any, because I just haven't seen every single one, but if there are any, they are an exception. It really wasn't until I visited Switzerland in 2010 that I realized that the overland front even existed. Also it seems that there are only around a dozen Citaros with single front door in Norway, most of them as LE Ü, but there are many Ü version Citaros with double front doors. So I think we can say that by default the Ü version will have overland front and can have single door, while the standard version by default will have citybus front, but this may be different based on which market it has been sold in and so on. So I guess having Ü as a deeper level of categorizing is maybe the best we can do, and then we put those that we know are Ü version there and there is no problem if we haven't identified them yet.
There is also a similar issue on first generation Integro, where we don't have any means of telling the Ü, ÜH and H (what are really the differences apart from floor height on H, and which of these versions do actually exist?) just by looking at the photos. At least I wasn't able to identify any difference, so I didn't make any categories when I sorted those files back then. I have tried to see if it is possible to identify through the chassis number (VIN), but there is always something that differs between what the VIN says and what I see on photos, and even with what they are registered as in the national car registry. At least there is an overview here, but I'm not sure if all are 100% correct, and it does not include all combinations that I have found.
Do you by the way know if the Citaro G BlueTec Hybrid is the same as the Citaro GDH? I see that most files in that category are named as GDH, but I can't find if there is any difference or if it is just two names for the same thing. In that case I'd prefer Citaro GDH for the category, as it is more similar to the other versions, and the "BlueTec Hybrid" name sounds very commercial and hyped. Bergenga (talk) 16:46, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
Unfortunatly I only know Citaros a bit, because others were almost only used for school and worker transport around here until a few years ago :-) So I can’t really help with the Integros or other manufacturers. About the GDH: The german websites I found (at least some of them known to be kinda reliable) suggest „Citaro G BlueTec®-Hybrid“ == „O 530 GDH“. Same for „Citaro FuelCELL-Hybrid“ == „O 530 BZH“. --Nenntmichruhigip (talk) 20:51, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
