There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Thanks for identifying those, but could you please move the image notes so they are actually on top of the cars they're describing? It makes things a lot easier. -mattbuck (Talk) 12:38, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

File:Brian Snelson's photos of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run 2009 - 024.jpg[edit]

Hi CTC. I'm very impressed that you identified the coachwork of the above vehicle as H J Mulliner. How did you do it? Best regards, Eddaido (talk) 05:57, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi Eddaido, that was merely good luck. I am working on articles about De Dion-Bouton, the vis-à-vis, and the Populaire for German WP. I have pictures of this car in my archive. When I stumbled over the car at a Bonham auction, I just had to verify that it is the same car; which gave no problem as Y-65 is a regular London to Brighton contender.
Exercpt from the auctioneer's catalogue:
"Y 65 is a 3½ hp car carrying coachwork by Mulliner in the exceptionally rare Imperial Double Phaeton style, described and illustrated in the De Dion Bouton Preliminary Catalogue for 1901. The car carries a plate on the coachwork bearing the inscription “British Motor Co. Ltd. Licenced – Dion Dunlop Co. Ltd. No.971” and Mulliner records confirm that no. 971 was despatched from their works on 6th September 1900.
It is an exceptionally rare Type E, a transitional model manufactured in 1900 with the 80 x 80mm, 402cc, vertical, single-cylinder engine as fitted to the earlier Type D, however with steering, lever gear-change and rear hub brakes as fitted to the 4½ hp Type G1 introduced in late 1900."--Chief tin cloud (talk) 13:48, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
I've added the above to the file's description - is that OK? and put the nice image on the H J Mulliner article because I think it is important to remind readers that coachbuilders were not a development of the second quarter of the 20th century. Cheers, Eddaido (talk) 11:37, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
Yes, that's fine with me, and I agree with your comment on coachbuilders. Thank you very much.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 12:17, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

--Buch-t (talk) 09:29, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

Continental[edit]

Hallo Chief tin cloud, schau Dir mal bitte Category:Continental Division vehicles, Category:Lincoln Continental, Category:Lincoln Mark Series und Category:Lincoln vehicles mitsamt den Unterkategorien an. So sollte z.B. kein 1971er Modell in Category:Continental Mark III sein, und dieses Bild überrascht mich in Category:Lincoln Continental (third generation). Aber Du kennst Dich da besser aus. Gruss --Buch-t (talk) 10:41, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Alles bestens. --Buch-t (talk) 18:16, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

Supposed "Unidentified" automobiles[edit]

I just discovered through your history that you've been moving images of vehicles that are listed as being unidentified into their correct categories. I'm SO GLAD that I'm not the only editor doing this. ----DanTD (talk) 01:09, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Thank you, so am I. We just got a new load of such pictures... Seems, this work will never end. --Chief tin cloud (talk) 11:22, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Your rename request is incomplete. You have to put a number of a Criterion of renaming (look here). Proper template is: {{rename|filename|number of a Criterion|description in words}} If you would like to have these files renamed, you have to fill the gaps in your requests. Wieralee (talk) 13:47, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you. I hope, I got it fixed, now.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 09:13, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
