Dodge B-Series vs. B-Series vans[edit]

I have only come across what you did to Category:Dodge B Series, but I agree. Good and helpful work, much appreciated. mr.choppers (talk)-en- 07:08, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Brattleboro Museum and Art Center[edit]

You seem confused about how to categorize this building. Although the station building has been mostly converted into a museum and art center, the rear of the building is still an Amtrak station. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:11, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

It is? That's incredible. I just checked it out, and I was almost ready to change the museum to Category:Amtrak stations in Vermont. ----DanTD (talk) 04:19, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
Yes, the station platforms are still there on the river side of the building. I'll be back in Brattleboro in the spring, I'll try to get some pictures of the "station" from the rear. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:32, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
It sounds as if there's also some potential for expansion on the Brattleboro (Amtrak station) article. I'll look forward to the outcome of your trip. ----DanTD (talk) 04:41, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
Looking at my schedule, I'll be up there a litle later than I thought, in mid-June. I'll do my best to remember. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:50, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

Thank you[edit]

For your categorization work, it's wonderful.

I just came to let you know I deleted "File:Dodge Charger 1970 1.jpg" since it had a source/author as www.google.com.br and therefore it was a copyright violation and about other ten images in the same situation.

Should you find images whose source is google, please don't categorize. Instead, send them for deletion.

Again, than you for your hard work. -- Magister Mathematicae 00:33, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Category:Trails in the United States[edit]

I've thought about Trails for other states but then I've looked at individual states and noticed they aren't consistent in the sub-categories. Some have a category of "Protected areas of (state)", one even has a "Visitor attractions in (state)", most have "Parks in (state)". Even with parks as a sub-category, what about urban trails? I'm sure other states have them, here I have Category:Azalea City Trail in my city that starts at a park and ends at a park but goes through a University and along city streets. I wouldn't normally put it under Parks in Georgia (U.S. state) so when I made Trails in Georgia (U.S. state) it isn't attached to Parks. As someone that has also made a lot of categories, what do you think should be the consistent sub-categories for each states that ha s a "Trails of (state)" category? Thanks. --Mjrmtg (talk) 18:04, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

It seems like what you've already got now is just fine. I may have to work on some of the trail categories I've created though. ----DanTD (talk) 18:10, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

File:IsraeliSyriarevolution.png[edit]

In a news story I heard or read several months ago, it was reported that Iran is pushing the line that Israel is behind most of Syria's problems. Just now, the very first hit for a Google search "Iran says Zionists Syria" was Iran: Syria's problems rooted in Zionist meddling... AnonMoos (talk) 18:11, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

Rest areas in Florida[edit]

I saw you created the above category, this photo I took File:Former Florida Welcome Center US 41.jpg is a former rest area/welcome center. Should we have a category for Former rest areas or should I just put it in the category you created? --Mjrmtg (talk) 14:18, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

I suppose we can throw it in the existing category. I've taken pictures of a couple of former rest areas, and there don't seem to be to many of those around that warrant the category at the moment. ----DanTD (talk) 04:01, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Train station interiors in New York[edit]

You're welcome. I subdivided that recently because, after uploading this, I realized that there were enough images of Buffalo Central Terminal and Penn Station (old and new) to justify separate categories for them as well. Daniel Case (talk) 01:37, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Town halls[edit]

Dan, are you really sure of this one? [1] If I were looking for images of a type of building (town halls) in Nassau, I don't think I'd ever think of heading down the hierarchy in this particular direction. - Jmabel ! talk 15:19, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

A friendly editor removed all references to NH from my description, and I don't know enough about the legalities and customs to say whether that's proper. Do the NH colors on the loco qualify it to be in a NYNH&H category? Jim.henderson (talk) 12:21, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Maybe something specific should be made. Let me try a rewrite of the description for the time being. ----DanTD (talk) 13:42, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Transfering files from Wikipedia[edit]

Do you know how to transfer files from Wikipedia? Is it a tool you have to use or what? Thanks for any info. --Mjrmtg (talk) 14:57, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I just use Magnus' "Move-to-commons assistant." Granted, there are times it requires some manual work, but that's basically what I use. ----DanTD (talk) 15:54, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
How do I activate the assistant or where do I turn it on? --Mjrmtg (talk) 17:42, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
I think it has something to do with having a "TUSC account." If anything I say isn't helpful, you'll have to ask an administrator. ----DanTD (talk) 00:12, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Railway Bridges and Tunnels by Railroads[edit]

Yes, the bridge & tunnel photos are in need of some subcategorization. I'm also working on subcats. for Category:Rail construction in the United States, which is not quite as crowded, but I plan to search & upload some more construction photos for various roads. Cheers, Caseyjonz (talk) 02:35, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Welcome centers[edit]

I was thinking of creating a category called Category:Welcome centers and place them on Category:Georgia Welcome Center (Valdosta, Lowndes County) and Category:Florida Welcome Center (Jennings, Hamilton County) instead of the category Category:Rest areas or in addition to that category Category:Rest areas. Thoughts?

It might be worth considering, but I think it ought to be in addition to categories of each welcome center currently categorized as a rest area. In the meantime I've been trying to find other images of rest areas that I've already got and have been encouraging other users to add more pictures from rest areas, service areas, and welcome centers. ----DanTD (talk) 23:07, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

"File:The Jet Star Roller Coaster from Casino Pier a week before demolition, Seaside Heights, New Jersey.JPG" revision undone[edit]

removed from Seaside Heights, New Jersey category; it is already in Casino Pier which is a subcat of Seaside Heights Famartin (talk) 01:33, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

I see you also made several other changes along these lines, which I have undone. Famartin (talk) 01:36, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
In this case, I thought I saw some other categories that should've been removed. I'll have to check on them again. ----DanTD (talk) 04:49, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
