Watermarks

Please don't upload images with website watermarks. Thanks. Film Fan (talk) 11:21, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Film Fan: I don't use to upload images with websites watermarks; in this case in particular, I hadn't noticed the watermark at bottom, otherwise, I would have edited the poster with Photoshop (what I usually do) or search for a another version without marks. Beyond that, I don't think it deserves a "warning" from you. Thanks. - Fma12 (talk) 13:06, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
It wasn't a "warning" or a warning. Film Fan (talk) 13:13, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
Ok. I hope I have made it clear. Fma12 (talk) 14:21, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Perhaps?

Hello Fma12, I saw your upload Martha Argerich (fabulous) and that you managed OTRS and so on (GREAT!). Perhaps one day there is a pic of Ingrid Fliter that we can use? My efforts had no success so far. Kind regards, ....HMS (talk) 06:33, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi, @PaulasBunt: are you referring to this image I uploaded time ago? If so, I have to comment you that it has not an OTRS ticket but a Presidency of Argentina license. I should search for an Ingrid Fliter pic with a similar license to verify it can be uploaded here. If you need further assistance, please contact me again. Thanks - Fma12 (talk) 15:19, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
Thank you very much for taking the time for searching. ....HMS (talk) 16:46, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi mate, I've just noticed a small error in this image: the facemasks on the helmets are currently green, but I believe they should be black. Any chance you could make that minor change for us? PeeJay2K3 (talk) 16:51, 18 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi @PeeJay2K3: pal, the facemasks were colored on dark grey, not green (as I remember). I should revise the vector file to verify that. There is no problem to make a correction if necessary. - Fma12 (talk) 11:32, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
That's weird, they look green to me. Maybe it's just because they're next to a purple block. Regardless, I think they should be black, if that's okay. PeeJay2K3 (talk) 12:32, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

Mahadeva (talk) 00:34, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Images Needing Removal From Commons

I'm sorry, but a recent Supreme Court Decision has caused changes in the way we look at uniform images. The Commons images need to be deleted.

USA Basketball

Hello! I've seen your U.S. Soccer kit, pretty impressive! Could you make a similar one for USA Basketball? It's really saddening that basketball national team uniforms are so generic compared to unique styles of football kits. Here are the images: men's home - [1], [2], [3], men's away - [4], [5]; women's home - [6] , women's away - [7]. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uiscfd (talk • contribs) 09:54, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi, @Uiscfd: , thanks for your comments about my football (soccer) jerseys!. Of course I could you similar ones for USA Basketball, I'll try and will upload them as soon as possible. I agree with you that basketball jerseys are in general "boring" compared to football shirts. Keep in touch! Best, Fma12 (talk) 01:56, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! Can't wait! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uiscfd (talk • contribs) 23:39, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

Football uniforms: Thanks for your contributions, humble request for Penn State

Hi Fernando,

I love the American football jersey graphics you've created! They're all amazingly high-quality.

Would you by any chance be willing to do an illustration of the football jerseys for the Penn State Nittany Lions football article? (The uniforms are nicknamed "the tuxedo of [American] college football!) Your illustration of them would be fantastic.

Fwiw: The two official main color hexes of the team are Pantone 282 (#041e42) and white.

Thanks for all your great contributions! Cheers, --Hoyadonis (talk) 23:43, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi, @Hoyadonis: , thanks a lot for your words to my work !!! I appreciate your recognition and I can assure you that I have a lot of fun designing the uniforms. I have been trying to add the highest level of detail to each uniform to make them both, recognisable and enjoyable for the fans.
I promise you that I'll be working on the Penn State uniforms, uploading them to the infobox as soon as possible. Thanks a lot again for your kind words, greetings from Argentina ! Fma12 (talk) 12:09, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Thanks again for doing this! Our uniforms are a huge point of athletic pride and an illustration would be awesome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoyadonis (talk • contribs) 21:07, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Can you help me tagging these files?

Hi, Fma12. I was wondering if you don't mind nominating these files for deletion. Derivative works of trophies awarded by FIFA and therefore copyrighted (FIFA Confederations Cup, U-17, U-20, World Cup).

Why didn't you warn the uploaders of the deleted files when you opened the deletion request? --Horcrux (talk) 08:33, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

Some of the files had been uploaded by you? By the way, I don't remember having warned you about it, but I'll take into account for future DR. - Fma12 (talk) 22:58, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
Yes they have. Also, you also shoud use template {{Reply to}} if you write in your talk page, otherwise your interlocutor is not informed about your answer. --Horcrux (talk) 09:56, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
It doesn't matter whether they were uploaded by Horcrux or not. You are required to inform the uploaders of files you list on a DR. Storkk (talk) 10:20, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Well, @Horcrux: , if we are talking about what we "should know", please take a look at Commons:Derivative works to know why I nominated the files, instead of complaining to administrators. The article cited serves as a good guide to avoid uploading renditions of copyrighted trophies that will be invariable nominated here.
Moreover, you mentioned me in the re-opened DR without using the {{Reply to}} template and you should have done that so I was the person who nominated those files. Anyway, I left my feedback there supporting my original position. - Fma12 (talk) 12:04, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

No such thing

The Australia national rugby union team do not have any aircraft as implied by Category:Airbus of Australia national rugby union team. Also the sponsor (Qantas) that feature the Wallabies "livery" are on Boeing aircraft but even then "Boeing of Australia national rugby union team" would also be totally wrong as per above. Bidgee (talk) 05:34, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

@Bidgee: According to what you explained above, any suggestion for a name? I consider those images should be categorized, maybe "Sponsorship of Australia national...." or something more accurate. – Fma12 (talk) 10:50, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

Sports uniforms with non-free logos

I've noticed you have uploaded quite a few. Enwiki has gone bonkers with their 0.1 megapixel rule that clearly makes no sense whatsoever for sports uniforms, having no respect for the spirit of the rule and rather enforcing the letter.

I opposed it for a uniform I had transferred from Commons, tagging it as do-not-resize resulting in Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2018 August 26#File:Washington Redskins uniforms.png. Despite there being no consensus or even any really valid argument Jo-Jo Eumerus deleted it anyway. Apparently, the only outcome of ffd is "keep" or "delete", it's somehow impossible to just scale it down again.

I've worked a bit on a solution for this: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Washington_Redskins&oldid=857417660. When you click most of the image, the media viewer will open with the higher resolution Commons image without logos. When you click the top part, it will show the low resolution fair use image from enwiki. If copyrightable elements would appear in the center of the image, this can still be done but the media viewer will be disabled and instead it will link to the file page of the higher resolution image.

Some uniforms that are still on Commons may be deleted in the future. So what do you think? Good idea, or would it be better to just stick to the low resolution fair use images on enwiki? Or censor the logos on Commons and forget about fair use? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 15:42, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi Alexis, I really appreciate your efforts to make my Redskins uniforms suitable for Commons, but in fact, the patch "copyrighted logo" is awful (certainly, nothing aesthetically). Therefore, the best solucion I can find is to keep the small version in the article, with no links to the "patched" Commons version. Unfortunately, we have to obey the rules in this case.
Regarding your question, I think that the best solucion is to replace the current Redskins uniform (Commons) with a new version, without logos or patches. I'll take over on this, editing the image with Photoshop. Thanks again. - Fma12 (talk) 22:13, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
My concern with that was that some might consider a uniform without logos to be inaccurate (I've been called Stalin before..). Blurring would also be ugly without indicating why something was blurred. I could also recolor the patches to better match the uniform so they don't stand out as much. But I'm no expert when it comes to uniforms, so if you think it's better (and historically acceptable) to simply remove them I'm okay with that too. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 10:40, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Saludos. - Fma12 (talk) 22:29, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
