Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tagging copyvios

Hi, When tagging copyright violations, please inform the uploader. This is best done using the gagdet. See in your preferences to enable them, tab "Gadget", section "Maintenance tools" : "AjaxQuickDelete" and "Quick delete". Category:Architecture of Badalona

Category:Architecture is a subcategory of Category:Art media, which is a subcategory of Category:Art.--JT Curses (talk) 19:21, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

Nearly every city has either Architecture or Buildings as top-level subcategory. I don't see any reason why Badalona should be an exception to this custom. -- Gauss (talk) 19:23, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

No problem, just wanted to make sure this was accidental. I have noticed I did some errors recently too by forgetting to include an incategory search for Category:Photos from Panoramio, and now I was looking into all the files categorised into Panoramio ID categories without being included in that category; that's quite a lot actually. 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 09:33, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Observe, though, that the Panoramio photographer David Holt and the Flickr photographer David Holt (who have separate categories) both took pictures in Zaire in 1995. This is likely not a coincidence. When you are dealing with such kind of cleanup you might want to take care of this matter as well. -- Gauss (talk) 09:53, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Follow-up question: You added Category:Photographs by Jānis Sedols as a subcategory of Category:Photos from Panoramio ID 1612542, which you created, but shouldn't it be the other way round? Petscan returns 471 files by the author that seem not to be from Panoramio, but I don't think there are any files from Panoramio ID 1612542 that are not by Jānis Sedols. 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 12:14, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Perhaps neither should be contained in the other because we can't know how many photographers named Jānis Sedols there are in the world. Do as you please, as long as you don't nominate categories for deletion. -- Gauss (talk) 12:18, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
