Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2015 is open!

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2015 Picture of the Year contest.

Dear Intakhab,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2015 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the tenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2015) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1322 candidate images. There are 56 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category. In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 28 May 2016, 23:59:59 UTC.

Hi, Please stop requesting files to be moved from whatever language to English - As per Commons:File_renaming#Which_files_should_not_be_renamed.3F files shouldn't just be English - All languages here are fine as we're a multilingual project, Thanks, ––Davey2010^Talk 15:43, 5 September 2016 (UTC)

Yes my requested names were in English but actually my intention was to make the names more accurate. Previous names in Bengali was not appropriately denoting the places. Thanks. --Intakhab (talk) 11:17, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Ah okay, well when you requested a name change it still should've been in whatever language it previously was in, Filenames shouldn't ever be renamed from any language to English, They have to remain in that language, I forgot to say but changing filenames from a language to English is a blockable offence and if repeated if could see you blocked,

Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in the Bangladesh - Thank You!

Hi there! Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in the Bangladesh. We're excited to see people uploading thousands of photos from all over the country! You and others have collectively uploaded 7,115 photos so far, all of which are viewable at Category:Images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in Bangladesh.

We encourage you to continue contributing through the rest of the month. Uploading your photos of monuments isn't the only way to contribute, however. If you're interested, there are auxiliary ways to contribute - which include improving Wikipedia's coverage of historic and cultural sites of Bangladesh, as well as finding existing free photos that can be shared on the Commons. While these contributions don't count towards the contest, we are still keeping track of them and they are great ways to contribute to the spirit of the project. If you are interesting in contributing to Wikipedia, Wikipedia tutorial is also great place to start.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2017 in the Bangladesh - Thank You!

Hi there! Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2017 in the Bangladesh. We're excited and thankful that we have thousands of photos from all over the country! ছবি আপলোড করলে দয়া করে বাংলা বিবরণ যোগ করে দিবেন। বাংলা বিবরণ না থাকার ফলে ইন্টারনেটে বাংলায় কিছু খুঁজলে সে জিনিসটি থাকা সত্ত্বেও আসে না। আমি কয়েকটায় বিবরণ যোগ করে দিয়েছি। ভবিষ্যতে বাংলা বিবরণ যোগ করে দিবেন। --Aftabuzzaman (talk) 16:53, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

সুপ্রিয় Intakhab! উইকিমিডিয়া বাংলাদেশ-এর আয়োজনে দেশের সংরক্ষিত প্রাকৃতিক বনাঞ্চল ও এর জীববৈচিত্র্যের ছবি নিয়ে বাংলাদেশে চতুর্থবারেরমত শুরু হয়েছে উইকিপিডিয়ার ছবি প্রতিযোগিতা উইকি লাভস আর্থ ২০২০। এক মাসব্যাপী স্থায়ী প্রতিযোগিতাটি ১ জুন, সোমবার থেকে শুরু হয়ে ৩০ জুন পর্যন্ত চলবে।
