Rename

Please, fix your rename requests to include location of those images (Merced, CA) as there are numerous courthouses in the world... :) Thanks for your kind cooperation on the wikipedia commons! --WhiteWriter speaks 18:35, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

SVG problem

Hi! I'm not sure what is exactly the problem... I think this problem has to do with the Adobe XML namespaces (wich may define some non-standardized svg tags). I've seen this problem in pictures with arrows/flowchart made with Adobe Illustrator... But there is some thing more: File:USMC 4th MLG vector.svg should have the same problem, but it dosen't. All I did was to remove manually the svg (special) tags/simplify the original sintax. Giro720 (talk) 00:04, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Hello, yeah I don't understand it, I uploaded dozens of .svg files very recently that didn't seem to have any problem, I don't know programming so I have no Idea how to troubleshoot the code myself. I appreciate you fixing the ones that haven't been working lately. Thanks for replying btw, Jdcollins13 (talk) 17:07, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
You're welcome. If you have trouble with some other svg file, feel free to let me know. I'll be happy to help. Giro720 (talk) 23:25, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I posted how to solve (manually) it in User_talk:Steveoc_86#SVG_issue. I've reported it at Village pump and probably I'll need to open a bug request at bugzilla. Giro720 (talk) 17:57, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

This media was probably deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Camp Opemikon.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Camp Opemikon.png]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

I am not the original uploader, nor have I any idea about the nature of the license, except that it has been on the commons for over two years so if there were a problem with the license an admin should have already dealt with it. I simply have been working on files in the cleanup category, of which this was one. So I have no connection to the file other than that. You will have to contact the uploader for anything further on that road, sorry for the misunderstanding. Jdcollins13 (talk) 19:00, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the tag showing up on your door step, The file was just moved which brought it to the Latest files page is how I saw it, don't know why it has not been delt with. My concern is it's a logo and has no verification of permissions. Mlpearc powwow 19:18, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
No worries, totally understandable. For what it's worth I would tend to agree with you, it does appear to be a copywritten logo. I just googled their site and I see the logo prominently displayed, however there is not a definite indication whether they own rights to it (if it were pd-author they would be free to use it on their site).
