Deleted F-1_engine_firing.jpg[edit]

You deleted this image from F-1 (rocket engine). It was a non-copyrighted NASA image. What is needed to restore the image so it won't be deleted again? Joema (talk) 13:45, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Joema, it appears there was no source listed on the original image, which was required on both commons and back on Wikipedia--images generally slide without that for quite some time, until someone "tags" it as missing that requirement, and then an admin can delete it within seven days. Simply putting down "NASA" as the source isn't enough, since the photo may not be owned by them... for web images like this we'd need the source URL/address where it came from to verify. Do you happen to recall what that was? If we have it I can restore it or any other admin can, its no problem. rootology (T) 13:54, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, thanks for your detailed response. Don't have the original URL, but it's similar to this NASA image: [1]Joema (talk) 15:01, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
