Good image for a drone - lots of light helps. Can you correct the distortion of the wide angle lens? It is particularly noticeable at the sides --GRDN711 11:45, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment What distortion are you referring to? Wide angle rectilinear images have inherent stretching near edges unless viewed from the exact right distance from the screen and most of the lens imperfections were already automatically removed by the lens profile. Changing the projection to something without such stretching would make straight lines, including the horizon, into curves and require cropping away much of the image. --Joneikifi 04:32, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment Or are you referring to the perspective? Perspective correction would crop out a significant portion of the image and this photograph is already in use in several wikipedia articles. --Joneikifi 06:02, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Symbol support vote.svg Support In terms of technical quality, I prefer the straightened and cropped version. However, I do accept your argument that the cropping results in a significant loss of image area. I support for QI with both versions being offered. --GRDN711 17:07, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Dear Joneikifi,

Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2020, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world! We would like to ask again for a few minutes of your time. Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 200K+ pictures of cultural heritage objects from more than 50 countries around the world.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet). To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey.

Please fill in this short survey and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2020.

Kind regards,
the Wiki Loves Monuments team, 08:20, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
