File:8-Petal rose.svg, File:20 Petal rose.svg, File:7 Petal rose.svg[edit]

These have a highly-distorted aspect ratio, and are not useable in Wikipedia articles in their current form. AnonMoos (talk) 03:47, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

I recreated the images with an aspect ratio of unity and uploaded them. Please check if they serve the purpose. Thanks. Krishnavedala (talk) 19:08, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
OK, but the margins should be trimmed so the images fit into a square; I'll get around to it in a little while, but right now my monitor failed and I'm using a backup monitor which is not very convenient until I buy a new one... AnonMoos (talk) 14:03, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Can't fix File:7 Petal rose.svg since I can only download the red SVG (16kb file) no matter on which link I click to download... AnonMoos (talk) 16:17, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Fixed. Thanks. --Krishnavedala (talk) 02:40, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

Klein bottle SVG[edit]

I opened it in a text editor (SVG files are basically in plain text format) and changed the numbers in the "width=", "height=", "viewBox=" parameters at the top of the file. AnonMoos (talk) 14:03, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Krishnavedala!
Tip: Add categories to your images

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

Uploadwizard-categories.png

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

error in step response[edit]

Yours
Mine

In your file Second_order_transfer_function.svg, the overdamped case is not right. All the curves should start out the same, as damping has no effect at zero velocity. But you need different equations for the different cases. See this book and my figure from its formulae. Mine has the crappy axis labels, though. Dicklyon (talk) 03:52, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

I see you modified mine, but didn't fix the error in yours yet. Dicklyon (talk) 18:00, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

File:Simple squircles.svg[edit]

This file is not equivalent to the JPEG since File:Simple squircles.svg contains roundedrects, while File:Simple squircles.jpg contains intersections between a circle and a square! In any case, you would have done well to leave the word "squircle" out of the name of any SVG file, since neither one contains actual squircles! AnonMoos (talk) 02:18, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

True, thanks! --ElectroKid () 13:21, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

The factual accuracy of the chemical structure File:Oxandrolones synthesis.svg is disputed[edit]

Dispute notification The chemical structure File:Oxandrolones synthesis.svg you uploaded has been tagged as disputed and is now listed in Category:Disputed chemical diagrams. Files in this category are deleted after one month if there is no upload of a corrected version and if there is no objection from the uploader or other users. Please discuss on the file talk page if you feel that the dispute is inappropriate. If you agree with the dispute, you can either upload a corrected version or simply allow the file to be deleted.

In all cases, please do not take the dispute personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! --DMacks (talk) 10:52, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for including the LaTeX code, making it easy to re-use and alter this diagram! Wish I were easily able to use it to regenerate the svg:( DMacks (talk) 10:54, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for noticing and bringing to my attention. The diagram is now fixed. I find LaTeX is pretty powerful and highly efficient on a much broader scale. I write my code here, obtain the PDF and convert it to SVG locally on my computer using this tool. Hope it helps you :) --ElectroKid () 13:45, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

OZI rule diagram[edit]

Hello. I noticed you prepared a diagram containing a Feynman diagram. Could you prepare one for OZI rule? RJFJR (talk) 00:15, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Sure, I can try. Can you give a reference for the diagram? Is the diagram represented here accurate: If yes, could you please state the reference. --Rubber Duck () 20:03, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
No, that isn't the diagram we need. I'll have to get you the reference from home. RJFJR (talk) 18:12, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
My reference is "Introduction to Elementary Particles" by David Griffiths Page 75. RJFJR (talk) 23:54, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
I took photos of the page of the book and uploaded it to ozi.htm. (It displays rather large on my browser.) Obviously it's copyrighted so I don't know what we have to change to be able to make a similar diagram. RJFJR (talk) 00:08, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
I have made an attempt on this. Please verify File:OZI rule - Feynmann diagram.svg and also at the OZI rule. --Rubber Duck () 05:09, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
Re-image copyright, the diagram is a well known physical law and hence not bounded by it. But, the textual content in your pictures is copyrighted and I suggest you have those images deleted for future. In the above posted link, I claim the copyright only for the soft-copy of the drawing but no original authorship. --Rubber Duck () 05:13, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
No, that's not the diagram needed to explain (or demonstrate) the OZI rule. It's the image with 3 curly lines (gluons) positioned so there is a line that can go across the diagram cutting only gluon lines. In the diagram I photographed from the book the line is dotted and marked with a drawing of a scissors. Sorry. RJFJR (talk) 05:40, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
Ok, I'll create another one. Hope your link is still active :). But this one, might be a copyrighted drawing since that is not a previously-known but something created by the author of the book. --Rubber Duck () 14:47, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
I googled with "ozi rule feynman diagram" and found a few more diagrams for this:

The OZI rule talks about what happens when the diagram can be 'cut' just severing gluon lines so that part is well known; figuring out how to make a nicely layed out diagram of an example is a little more challenging. RJFJR (talk) 15:26, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

Done. Checkout File:OZI rule - Feynmann diagram2.svg. --Rubber Duck () 02:36, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Excellent! The article looks much better now. Thank you. RJFJR (talk) 20:31, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
I contacted Prof. Griffiths and he was kind enough to permit the use of images. --Rubber Duck () 22:52, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Apollo grammar[edit]

Apollo is written with 2 ll's not, 2 pp's. There is an error here twice. MaryroseB54 (talk) 10:36, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

Fixed. Thanks for pointing out. The SVG is now translatable as well. --Rubber Duck () 17:15, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
