Wrong categories[edit]

Dear Lotje, Could you please delete Category:Maps_made_in_the_21th_century and Category:21th-century maps of Africa. Sorry, two mistakes. Vysotsky (talk) 22:02, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Wars, this image should be renamed and as you are the uploader, I was wondering if you could give it a more suitable name. Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 09:02, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

What may look to you as "a piece of cake" is "an impossible mission" to me. Therefore, I cannot stay forever here (I lost already 35 minutes) in trying to re-name or re-load the file under a more proper name, that would be File:Next Store Canterbury England UK 2004 LTT.jpg The syntax of the system is incredible resilient in NOT letting one, as an uploader, to operate little changes. If you know how to do it, go for it. You see what is more appropriate name, so do it. You may also teach me how to do it. :-))) Wars (talk) 17:17, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Hi, Wars, renaming files is done by filemovers. I should have expressed myself in a clearer way to you. I actually meant that if you would come up with a more appropriate name, I would go and rename it. To make it up for the time you spent trying to solve this "impossible mission", and because it is Eastern today, happy egg hunt. Smile Lotje (talk) 05:56, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Yes these all mine you can see here the reason why in: user:Martin H. talk page, when I was new here every time I uploaded a picture and I log out I forget the password so when i upload the next file i do it in anther account. after that when user:martin H. explain told me how the rules are here and explain to me how to make this account user:jobas that I can use it in different wiki project. I never did anther account and you can check if you want, that after user:Martin H. help how the project work here and I reared the rules it's was in 20 December 2012. I had only one account and never did new account, and all these accounts have nothing to do with my last uploads and you can chick that I didn't use any of these account in last uploads.

Have a nice day and would be nice if you interested to see some example for one of the personal attacks that done by user:B88 : by user:B88 attack my personal page and putting pictures calling me fascists and another picture as: If Jesus came kill him again!. he still doing Personal attack directed for me: by user:B88 attack my personal page and putting pictures calling me fascists and another picture as: If Jesus return kill him again!. he still doing Personal attack directed for me: using low level of word, using low level of word in my Arabic page which called me a Christians Monkey!!! here you can also see some of assaults on multiple articles as here, and here

user:Ich Pilot, user:Ich Pilot (create these accounts: (user:B88, user:Khny ,user:Zwanzig 20), which are his Sock puppetry because They have the same orientation, the same language in attacking, and more importantly, the same contributions ) had made many of new Contributions, which are not based on sources or selecting the sources that are compatible with his couches, I asked him (user:Ich Pilot) to discussed before making any changes to find a common solution (especially that there are many different Statistics which gives different data in the files), and I brought a variety of sources in order to debate, and I asked him to debate before doing any modification until we get to the result of inappropriate but he refuses to debate and even attack me.

I open a discussion in these files: File:Christian Majority Countries-ar.png, File:Catholic Majority Countries.PNG and asking about the sources that he made, but user:B88 just keeping attacks and he never discuss. and he still create different accounts (user:B88, user:Khny ,user:Zwanzig 20) to uploads the same files without discussion the sources of his new file--Jobas (talk) 10:14, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Manhattan Ensemble Theater[edit]

You moved "Manhattan Ensemble Theater" to "Manhattan Ensemble Theater". This was an error, and I have undone your change. As the picture of the banner outside the theatre clearly shows, the name for this particular company uses the "-er" form. Since both the "-er" and "-re" forms are used by theatre companies in New York City, please be careful to check that you're using the correct one for the specific theatre you're dealing with. Beyond My Ken (talk) 14:53, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Also, please note that the "-er" form in standard in the U.S. It is primarily theatres in the older cities on the east coast which use the older "-re" form. Beyond My Ken (talk) 15:02, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

File:Rainham railway station MMB 06 G-MPSB.jpg[edit]

I have reverted your move. You cited move request #5, Correct obvious errors in file names (e.g. wrong proper nouns or false historical dates). There is no obvious error with this filename - it was taken at Rainham railway station, and it is a photo of G-MPSB. Your rename was not only unnecessary, it also messed up my file naming scheme. -mattbuck (Talk) 11:45, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Dag Lotje,

Pol

Dag User:PMRMaeyaert, gelieve steeds te willen ondertekenen. File:Church 1911.4.1.jpg[edit]

You marked File:Church 1911.4.1.jpg as a duplicate... I'm a bit torn. It is very, very close to the other one (looks basically like a very slightly different crop). The one marked as a duplicate was actually uploaded first, and normally we keep those, but the later one is the featured picture. However, the first one was uploaded during a Wikipedia editing event with the Smithsonian themselves (has special tags and categories) and I really would not like to lose that documentation. It looks like the Google Art Project got a copy of basically the same image from the Smithsonian (who gave us a number of images that day) and uploaded it there later on. I may remove the duplicate tag so we keep both, which would be unusual, but I think it's the more original source. What do you think? Carl Lindberg (talk) 02:24, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

Hu Clindberg, taken into consideration all the above, I will undo my edit. Of course, we do not want to loose the aforesaid documentation. I removed the tag, and btw, thanks for your intervention. Face-smile.svg Lotje (talk) 04:07, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

The renaming of File:Iceberg with hole near sanderson hope 2007-07-28 2.jpg[edit]

Hi Lotje,

Thanks for your effort in improving the file names on Commons. Whereas I do not personally think, that renaming rule #5 about proper nouns is very important (and thus think the original file name was just fine), I acknowledge this is the policy. Please note though, that when you request a file rename of a featured picture such as this one, one has to take into account and update the subpage link to nomination page in the {{Assessment}} template. By default this is not set, and then the template assumes that the nomination page has a subpage name identical to the file name. But when the file has been renamed as now, this is no longer the case and the subpage parameter has to be stated explicitly instead. If you look at the file page it now has a warning displayed in the Assessment template. -- Slaunger (talk) 09:56, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

I have now fixed the problem introduced by the rename process. You can see here how it looked just after it was renamed. -- Slaunger (talk) 10:02, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very, very much! Having created a mess, I was not sure about how to fix it. Thanks again. Face-smile.svg Lotje (talk) 10:10, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

Here if you don't mind?[edit]

Just to say that I've posted on the thread we were on and will not return to it - the is a feel of trolling and pointlessness there I'm afraid.

However I am very happy to try and explain to any of the community with an open mind who have granted my rights over the years anything about my actions if you have questions?

The mailing list thing should really not be a source of a leak as the only list anything could have been on is the CU list and that really should be secure...! I'll be watching your page in case you have any questions - thanks --Herby talk thyme 13:24, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Another possibility of course could be a hacker, and if you ask me, in all honesty, that is where I think the leak must have come from. Lotje (talk) 13:42, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
You could be right. I guess another point is that, as far as I know, there is no actual evidence of the leak which is a pity as that would help clear it up. Best --Herby talk thyme 13:46, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Can you tell me at what time everything started? Lotje (talk) 13:52, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
I'm afraid not - I didn't even know the date it was carried out - I keep no records for privacy reasons. --Herby talk thyme 14:06, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

about your note[edit]

With reference to your message on my mr-wiktionary talk page about these images on commons seems to be good faith personal promotion purpose and as of now I do not see any particular encyclopedic natability value to the same for any of wikimedia projects. Fankly I do not see any point in renaming or categorisation of the said images. you may process the images as per regular commons protocal.

Thanks and Regards

BS Murthy, the author would like to clarify that Benign Flame: Saga of Love, Crossing the Mirage - Passing through Youth and Jewel-less Crown are plot and character driven novels. While Prey on the Prowl is a crime novel, Glaring shadow is a stream of consciousness novel and the title reveals it all in respect of Onto the Stage - Slighted Souls and other stage and radio plays. about the other three works, they are works of nonfiction - Puppets of Faith is about the theory of communal strife, Bhagvad-Gita: treatise of self-help is a philosophical work and Sundara Kanda: Hanuman's Odyssey is a mythological work, the last two being in verse. I hope it's okay Regards, BS Murthy user: AuthorSpeak

  4. Aanvaard dan ook mijn welgemeende excuses. Lotje (talk) 05:41, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Renamin File:Wittelsbach-Graff diamant.png[edit]

I think that your renaming should be wrong.

This diamond was named Wittelsbach before being recut by Graff. This picture was posted in 2009, whereas the first public apparition if the diamond after recut is dated 7 January 2010.

So I am asking this picture to come back to its former name.
