Parliament building of Benin[edit]

Greetings,

I saw the picture mentionned in the subject on the Benin page as well as Porto-Novo page. And it is written that it is the siege of Benin Parliament. Please, note that this is wrong. The building name in French is Palais des Congrès which can be litteraly translated as Palace of Congress, but its purpose is just to host events like seminars, conference and meeting. Benin Parliament siege is the "Palais des Gouverneurs" in French. And it is located in Porto-Novo, not Cotonou. Since i'm not used to editing wikipedia articles, I think i might let you know so you can correct this.

Best regards

Gildas Jr.

Photo of inside of Cappella Palatina[edit]

Hello, Magnus.

Would it please be possible to have your permission to use your photo of the inside of the Cappella Palatina, specifically the one that shows the upper wall and part of the stalactite ceiling? I am writing a book on Norman Sicily and would really like to use this as the composition is so unusual. Thank you.

The Vernaccia pic[edit]

Hi, my name is Marco. I just would like to tell that the pic uploaded in the Vernaccia article it is not a Vernaccia from Sardinia, but (as stated on the label on the bottle) is a Vernaccia di San Gimignano. These two wines are quite different. I think the caption should be corrected. Best regards

image on wikipedia entry for margaret cavendish[edit]

Hi Magnus,

The image you uploaded on the Margaret Cavendish page in Wikipedia does not represent her. According to her biography, Mad Madge, it is an image of Mary Lucas, her sister. Is it possible to remove it? It is misleading as is. This is the link to the image: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Margaret_Cavendish.jpg

Thanks!

please delete this picture, it's of me and i can't figure out how to delete it[edit]

We publish AFAR Magazine, which has twice been named America's best travel magazine, and AFAR.com, an online travel guide that has been recognized by the New York Times, Time magazine and many others as breaking new ground in inspiring and enabling great travel experiences (see www.afar.com/).

I’m creating content to recommend that travelers visit Abu Dhabi and would like to use the image in the following link. I would like to request your authorization and approval to do so.

It is understood that you retain copyright ownership over the image, and this is a license only.

We will share our recommendation with you after it is complete. Thank you very much for your consideration.

All the best, Lara community@afar.com

Mislabel leading to Embarrassing Situations "Patch Adams at Sarvodaya.jpg"[edit]

Hello Magnus, My name is Derek Busby, and I am the assistant to Dr. Patch Adams. I am writing to you because the picture entitled "Patch Adams at Sarvodaya" has been incorrectly labeled. This picture is actually of Dr. Bowen White: http://bowenwhite.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/IMG_3774.jpg . While Drs. Adams and White are both amused by the mix-up, this picture has been used on several wikipedia pages (Spanish and Italian at least), and has been picked up by fans who came to believe this was a picture of Dr. Adams. We now have T-Shirts and a statue which feature the image of Dr. White, which have been presented to Dr. Adams--much to the confusion to all those involved. So, I would ask that you please edit this picture to reflect the reality that this is an image of Dr. Bowen White. Thank you. -Derek

Errors with Flickr2Commons[edit]

The box highlighting the image turns red and tells me Flinfo issue 4. What does it mean? I was wondering if I could help create a documentation/guide for the tool if that is ok with you. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 20:35, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Rsrikanth05, I'm experiencing this too. If you do create a guide for it, please ping me. SlimVirgin (talk) 00:10, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

The plant represented here - and on the associated file File:Asarum europaeum 'Asarabacca' (Aristolochiaceae) flower.jpg is not an asarum europaeum, but an erythronium dens-canis:

Perhaps an overlooked issue?[edit]

Secondary cell energy density.svg

Contains an element labelled "Aluminum Cans"... I cannot find any reference to that as a battery type. Is this a copy/paste error?

Error in a picture of Beau de Rochas diagram[edit]

Universal replace failed?[edit]

CommonsDelinker: Replace File:Doña Isabel Cobos de Porc by Francisco Goya.jpg with File:Portrait of Doña Isabel de Porcel by Francisco Goya.jpg across all Wikimedia projects. Reason: File renamed: I can't find evidence for "Cobos", and the sources indicate Porcel, not Porc.

...was processed by Commons Delinker... apparently, but doesn't seem to have actually been processed. Am I missing a progress log somewhere? Adam Cuerden (talk) 01:48, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

How to report issues about Toollabs tools?[edit]

Hi Magnus, I see the big notification about Toolserver tools at the top of the screen...but the Jira link isn't functional. What's the best way to alert you of issues with Toollabs tools, like my note about CommonsHelper above? -Pete F (talk) 02:06, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Removal of files in gallery by CommonsDelinker[edit]

Hello,

When there is a file in a gallery, the new version of CommonsDelinker leaves the description of the deleted image, which is not very useful:

Could it delete the entire line as before? (or everything up to the </gallery> tag if there is one)

Thanks,

Flickr2Commons[edit]

Hi Magnus, I'm having difficulty getting Flickr2Commons to work. Sometimes it does, but mostly it says the upload failed without saying why. For example, today I tried to upload this image. It's cc-by, so I added the photo ID 16437629289 to the "single Flickr photo ID" box, but I got the red text saying it had failed, and had to do it manually. Can you help me to work out what I'm doing wrong? SlimVirgin (talk) 22:23, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

resolution too high? (7360×2085 pixels), i have had problem uploading pics with a larger resolution too..I think flickr2commons desperately needs an upgrade..it has just too many bugs..--Stemoc 03:13, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
That was just one example. Most of the images I tried to upload recently didn't work, but there's no explanation. SlimVirgin (talk) 22:08, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
Same here. I've had errors with Flickr2Commons too, as posted above. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 19:29, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
