Augustins - Les quatre fonctions du capitoulat toulousain - Jacques Boulbène RO 29.jpg‎[edit]

Everything is sourced. The information is extracted from the museum site. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 15:00, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

@Archaeodontosaurus: Thanks for your note! I have to explain myself: I think it isn't directly visible where the information comes from, but that is totally fine and the same for almost all our artwork photos. That wasn't the reason to remove the information, it was more part of the efforts to move data about artworks to Wikidata and to remove then redundant or inferior data here.
And BTW: The reason why I removed the table (and edited the page at all) was my work on User:Multichill/Unable to add Wikidata link where it probably showed up because the bot doesn't understand the syntax with the table. I don't see much value in this table also. And even if it should get rendered, HTML table syntax in the page source text probably isn't the best idea to achieve that.
That said, neither the redundant data, nor the funny table are much of a problem. So if you follow me you might edit the page again, or if you don't not. Thanks and cheers, --Marsupium (talk) 15:46, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
  • I checked my captions on the list you sent me: the bot can not place the link wikidata because it is already there. I place it systematically. The rest of the syntax does not pose a problem, we made it so that there is none. I am always attentive to the improvements that can be made. Category:John Hales[edit]

Hello Marsupium (clever username if you ask me Face-smile.svg), I just came across another puzzling one. The category/wikidata indicates: 1584 births and 1656 deaths. The description in the file reads: John Hales (1524–1572). The Wet van Gresham in Dutch mentions he died in 1971. Do you know where we can find an answer to this to correct the different dates? Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 14:02, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Only me again, to give you a idea of how confusing it is now, I added some files to the category. Lotje (talk) 14:09, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
I'll try to check some sources on Sunday. Best, --Marsupium (talk) 10:49, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Thnks a lot Marsupium Lotje (talk) 12:47, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
@Lotje: Alors, there is w:John Hales (died 1572)/d:Q6237275. It seems that File:John Hales by British School.jpg is in the wrong category and there needs to be a new one created for the person. And its wrong on enwiki article. --Marsupium (talk) 04:42, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Thank you very much Marsupium for having unraveled this mistery. Face-smile.svg Lotje (talk) 04:46, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
@Marsupium:, bien Face-smile.svg, as it all seems to be mixed up, and you did the source checking, I leave it up to you to change where need be. Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 04:50, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
✓ Done --Marsupium (talk) 10:47, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

Structured Data - testing other statements[edit]

You can now test using other statements for structured data on the file page on Test-Commons. Some datatypes are not yet available, such a coordinates, but further support will be extended soon. You can find more information about testing on the SDC talk page. The team looks forward to your feedback. -- Keegan (WMF) (talk) 16:41, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
