Hello ! Thanks for your work on Tour de France ! I noticed a mistake on File:Tour de France 2011 etape 6 profil.png : The city of Avranches has a s. Also not Avranche. Goodbye ! 14:08, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, mate. Corrected :-)--Maxxl2 (talk) 14:36, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Tour de France 2011

Hi Maxxl2, I saw this file on the french article of the 11th day of the Tour de France : [1]. But there is a mistake it's "Lavaur" and not "Lavour". I do not know how to correct it, so please do it. Thanks a lot. Sebletoulousain (talk) 12:39, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, mate. Done. Do the French friends prefer the dark blue (stage 1-9) or the light blue (stage 10-12) version? :-) --Maxxl2 (talk) 12:49, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
I think that the one you made is the better one. Dark blue is too dark. It remembers me of the blue screen of death ! And the television in France uses a map which is quite the same as what you do. So I think that your version is the best but I do not represent the french wikipédia... Sebletoulousain (talk) 13:15, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your speedy answer. Same reminders here with me: BSOD - i hate to see this screen. That was the reason to suggest the "mediterranian-summer-color" scheme. Great you appreciate it. That encourages me to continue. --Maxxl2 (talk) 13:36, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
Hey! Thanks for the map, but it's Col d'Aubisque. Necrid Master (talk) 07:18, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Profiles Tour de France 2011

Hello :) I've just seen the profile that you made for the Tour de France stage of Plateau de Beille : [2]. It looks pretty nice, almost like the profiles that they put on the official website of the Tour. Could you tell me how you make this kind of profiles, with what program or other thing ? I would like to try to make some profiles like you, especially to contribute for other races like the next Vuelta :) Thanks, Futbol (talk) 12:29, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi there and thanks for your attention. Producing the charts i use Inkscape as the only tool. I followed the official LeTour and TV charts as close as possible as the fans do know them best and will easiely understand them here. For the Vuelta I'm already prepared but would welcome a partner in the project. --Maxxl2 (talk) 14:08, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
I would gladly help you if you need any help to make profiles but I need to understand how it works first. I downloaded Inkscape, now I need to find a tutorial to see how it works to draw the stage profiles :) Futbol (talk) 16:51, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
May I suggest you start with the introductional instructions and "how to" s first of all to get familiar with the features and capabilities of inkscape in general. Later on I am ready to give you detailed instruction how the profile charts were made and show you how to do them. I would prefer to have an online Skype session for this purpose and using som cloud gadgets zu exchange the images rapidely online. For the start just open the svg of the charts in inkscape and have a look and play with the text, icons, graphs and planes. Have fun and enjoy this beautiful peace of software. --Maxxl2 (talk) 14:50, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Color scheme profiles Tour de France 2011

Hi Maxxl2,

In the first place I want to thank you for the many nice graphs you've already made for the Wikipedia-community. For the Tour de France you've changed (for the better) the color scheme for the stage profiles. However, what puzzles me: when I include some of these svg's in our pages in the dutch-wiki, the old colors appear again! (See e.g. nl:Ronde van Frankrijk 2011/Twintigste etappe) The same happens sometimes in de Wikimedia Commons section. Can you explain this? Do I address the wrong reference or what's going wrong? Thanks for your quick reply! Luxil (talk) 11:25, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi - and thanks for your appreciation. Sorry to say, but there is a technical problem with the servers since some time that keeps the stuff here busy. Unfortunately it is'nt solved yet. Just to get informed pls read this posting and many more users complaining the same observations you mentioned. As I have no solution pls ask the admins here to suggest one. Best of luck to you. --Maxxl2 (talk) 14:45, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for your quick reply. Anyway it's not such a big problem. I'll have patience and wait until the problem has been solved! ~~ Luxil (talk) 14:58, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Great work on the Tour profiles!

I saw the stage profiles on wikipedia, and thought they were too good to be true, and I suspected they were copied from a professional website. So I came here to find more evidence for that, but now I see that you really made them yourself. Wow! --EdgeNavidad (talk) 18:15, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for my late answer and thanks for your compliments. To be honest, once you know inkscape its an easy task to generate these profiles almost in a professional style. I am still a newbie to this and happy to be useful. --Maxxl2 (talk) 13:44, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Eneco Tour 2011 image

Thanks for the map! Small thing: seems like you misspelt Alkmaar as "Alkmar", could you fix it? Thanks Pelotastalk 00:47, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Wunderbar, habbich schon gesehen.
