General feedback - audience

The vast majority of contributors to Commons are casual uploaders who come here because they have a file they want to use in an article. I would take this perspective when writing an introduction to Commons. In particular I would explain up front how Commons media can be used on WMF projects and allows media to be shared between projects. I would follow up with details about creating an account and license restrictions. Only after that would I discuss the remaining stuff. Others may disagree with this but I think it's useful to keep the audience in mind here. Dcoetzee (talk) 10:19, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
