Are you a robot ? I was thinking it might be possible, if you are, someone is sure to recognise you, but if you are not a robot, please respond with a quick hello so that everyone knows. Penyulap ☏ 09:28, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Mohammad Ali Ashraf Attari,
- the 3 postings above are not appropriate for a user page or user talkpage as they seem to be promotional. In case you are preparing articles for Wikipedia, please note that your talkpage is not the right place for that and Commons per se is not the right place, as we do host media files, but not articles. You should therefore remove the above 3 postings by yourself. Otherwise they will be removed by an administrator of Commons. --Túrelio (talk) 09:15, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
Wikimedia Commons has a specific scope
Thank you for your contributions. Your image or other content, File:Dr.Mohammad Ali Ashraf Attari.jpg, was recently deleted, or will soon be deleted, in accordance with our process and policies, because it was not, or is not, within our scope. Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at educational media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. The expression “educational” is to be understood according to its broad meaning of “providing knowledge; instructional or informative”. Wikimedia Commons does not contain text articles like encyclopedia articles, textbooks, news, word definitions and such. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote.
If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. Otherwise, consider an alternative outlet. If you think that the deletion was in error because the contribution really was in scope, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter. Thank you for your understanding.
Vandalism is not appreciated
You have vandalized the content of Wikimedia Commons. Please stop. If you continue making inappropriate edits you may be blocked from editing Commons. You may test freely in the sandbox.
- Hi Rahul Bott, I had previously removed this comment as it is frowned upon to call someone's work vandalism when there is no intent to damage the project. Penyulap ☏ 07:46, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
