Thanks for uploading File:Seo-gu Busan - in front of toseong station march 21 2006.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the OTRS system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Commons-emblem-issue.svg File:Currentschooluniformstylesintokyo-jan292015.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Identifiable faces in photos[edit]

Hi. Thanks for pointing out possible issues with some of my photos over at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Currentschooluniformstylesintokyo-jan292015.jpg. I must admit I hadn't blown up the images on my screen large enough to notice the identifiable faces, but I agree they could be problematic. Anyway, I have blurred out the faces and requested deletion of the original versions, so hopefully that clears up any problems. If you spot any problems with other photos that could be easily fixed, please let me know, or if they look truly unfixable, just nominate them for deletion. --DAJF (talk) 11:27, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

I think your photos were fine, and needless blurring of incidental people is silly. But if you are following the letter of the rule, you should blur them. And not just the two examples I pointed out. MOST of your photos of stations and platforms have VERY clearly defined people in them. Should we nominate all your photos for deletion? Stop the nonsense. Go and retract your deletion request of my image that did do something you clearly havent done. Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 11:44, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Further, if you are trying to make images that are acceptable on Japanese Wikipedia, you should blur out the license plates in your photos. You'll notice Japanese Wikipedians usually do that, as you can identify a person by their license plate. You got a lot of work cut out for you, because there are faces and license plates in many of your photos. Nesnad (talk) 11:54, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi again. In answer to your question, no, I don't tailor my uploads to suit particular local projects such as Japanese Wikipedia. I wasn't aware of the policy there about car number plates, but editors on Japanese Wikipedia are free to modify or adapt images uploaded to Commons by blurring out number plates if they so wish. Only a couple of weeks ago, I saw a recent image on Commons nominated for deletion by a Japanese user with the rationale that it included a Japanese car number plate, but that was rejected by the closing admin, so this does not appear to be an issue on Commons. --DAJF (talk) 23:52, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
I'm a bit confused about what you're trying to do? The only reason to blur out faces is to respect Japanese privacy concerns. The Wikipedia servers are not in Japan so you could argue there is no legal imperative to blur faces of private individuals. the FOP link you gave me is policy suggestions, but I don't think we are legally bound to blur faces in Japan? And further, up there you tell me to "let you know" if any of your pictures have faces. Why didn't you just let me know you thought I needed more blur on it instead of nominating my picture for deletion? I am really confused by your actions.
