Barnstars[edit]

Photographer Barnstar.png The Photographer's Barnstar
Thank you so much for your many excellent sports photographs, especially those of French women's association football players. Please accept this barnstar as a small token of my appreciation. Photographers like you are a huge reason why Wikimedia Commons is such an amazing resource. Merci beaucoup! Michael Barera (talk) 19:35, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Undeleted photos not corresponding[edit]

Hi Pyb, I hope you are well. 2018 has arrived (happy new year!), meaning that the deleted versions of File:Père-Lachaise_-_Division_41_-_Prazmowski_01.jpg and File:Père-Lachaise_-_Division_41_-_Prazmowski_02.jpg are now eligible for undeletion. I've done that, but unfortunately they don't seem to correspond exactly to the current versions. I have therefore not reverted them per COM:OVERWRITE. Could you please take a look? Cheers, Storkk (talk) 12:17, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

@Storkk:. Happy new year ;) I will check in my backups. ~~

Photo edition[edit]

Hi, could you please crop this photo above the knees ? Its also too high so croping would be good. --Mile (talk) 14:23, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

@PetarM:. Thx for your message. I've done something. If it's not perfect, I allow you to crop the file. Pyb (talk) 19:43, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

I made it. Thanx for photo of Brankica Mihajlović. It was too high and low in wide. Normally at portrait we dont crop bellow knees, but above. Same with arm in buste, above the elbows. I changed too yellow cast to more natural. --Mile (talk) 16:53, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Père-Lachaise graves and Wikidata[edit]

Hi Pyb, I see a lot of the graves in Category:Artworks without Wikidata item. These graves seem to be quite well documented. Maybe nice to import them to Wikidata? Multichill (talk) 11:38, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

@Multichill:
Hello
My project consists of 37602 images and 8596 categories. Everything is not interesting for Wikidata, but there is probably a large part of the data intesresting for Wikidata. Categories with Artist filled could be a good start. I don't want to duplicate the data, so I will test User:Rama/Catdef. Pyb (talk) 11:09, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Pyb the description in the file does not seem to be what the inscription on the gravestone says. Lotje (talk) 07:32, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

This media may be deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Père-Lachaise - Division 35 - Dondel-Muzet 01-2.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the OTRS system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Stranges date[edit]

Hi Pyb, i found such dates in some of your files. Could you please clean them up? Thank you for your cooperation. -Arnd (talk) 09:22, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

@Aschroet: Thx, I had a problem with a regex few months ago. I corrected all my files. Pyb (talk) 13:24, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Saying Hi[edit]

Hi Pyb, I'm amazed about what you do here. One question though, which football team do you like the most (and by football, I mean European football)?Stombari2 (talk) 21:15, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Stombari2

@Stombari2:, thx for your message. I support PSG (the men team). I can't take pictures of men team matches as a volunteer photographer. Pyb (talk) 08:19, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images and other files on Commons must be under a free license and should be useful to the Wikimedia projects. To allow others to use your files, some additional information must be given on the description page. Most importantly:
  • Describe what it is about in a short sentence. (What does the image show?)
  • State the author and the date of creation. If you made it yourself, say so explicitly. If it is from another Wikimedia user, link to the person's local user page. Best to use CommonsHelper.
  • If you did not create the file yourself, state the source you got it from.
  • Add a copyright tag - images without an appropriate license tag will be deleted.
  • Add the image to one or more gallery pages and/or appropriate categories, so it can be found by others. To find out where an image belongs, you can use CommonsSense.

If you copied the file from another wiki, please copy all information given there and say who uploaded it to that wiki. Use CommonsHelper.

It is recommended to use Template:Information to put that information on the description page. Have a look at Template talk:Information for details of the use of this template.

You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file.

Please add as much information as possible. If there is not sufficient information, the file may have to be deleted. For more information, follow the Commons:First steps guide. If you need help or have questions, please ask at the Help desk.

Thank you.
